It's been about 10 years since I cut the cord. I don't have a TV (wall space completely covered with bookcases), and my PC replaces any tv/film based entertainment.
I have the 3700BQE; up here in Western Canada, it's about C$30 cheaper than the Sonata.
I imagine it's a mixture of the Sonata being so popular therefore having its price increased, and the BQE being new and hence Antec doing a loss leader?
