My ski-doo and I are jealous of those lucky Eskimos in Penn State, 5 ft of snow. We have about 6-8 inches and are going on week 3 of this.

Also, all sleep states and CnQ was disabled in the bios AND windows 7 was set t...

ya it's a bummer,

One of the nicest things was their price matching. Instead of getting parts from all over, could get them all from there and price match them all.

hmmmm when I was in Govi, I had to use a vpn to do online banking, PIA (private internet access) worked good for me

one odd thing was, when it was not running, I would still pull netflix over there with no issues

Well the switch to a glass coffee table killed the hypothetical, totally-not-something-so-stupid-I-would-try tape situation so I drilled through a drywall to run cat5e. After all, I'd never even consider using tape, that's just so lazy and low-tech. I'm sure if I needed to do that I'd staple it or ...

Good PDF Splitter/Combiner Software??

As per the title I am looking for a PDF editing program. I have used Acrobat Pro XI at work and it's good for what I use it for. I want something at home for personal use, but I don't want a monthly subscription, but am willing to pay for a decent program. Mainly looking for something that can combi...

An air compressor with a good impact wrench works magic on bolts like that. Done are my days with 6 foot levers and lots of weight only to break tools and/or snap bolts. PB Blaster + impact wrench == unstuck bolt. :) I recently tried that method along with a hand-held torch to heat and cool some co...

Re: Frametimes: which uArch is the fastest?

Next question should be how many frames do you need? If you are playing on 1080p 60Hz screen, then no point going too overkill due to diminishing returns. I think with AMDs move to cheaper and available 8 core CPUs to the avg Joe consumer, it might allow or push Devs to start producing more software...

Anything that's memory latency or bandwidth bound that doesn't fit in GPU memory. In my line of work, that's basically all of the problems we run (physics simulations). They tend to sweep all of memory evenly, and we buy machines for memory capacity and bandwidth, for the most part. Anything that's...

On the BIOS fan control they usually run around 400rpm and are inaudible. I don't even have a ...
