My mobo produces 1 beep from time to time when I'm on the desktop, surfing the web, etc. Research told me this was a RAM issue. So I checked out my ram in the system info. My physical memory installed says unavailable. Is than issue? http://s7.postimage.org/l3248d6gn/Untitled.jpg Thanks
Ok hold folks, before you start bashing me, read the entire thread. I put the OS on the SSD, then disconnected it and connected the HDD and wiped it while simultaneously putting the OS on the HDD. I thought this was a smart move because now the HDD has all the files and directories for any game to b...
Perfect! Worked like a charm. Thank you sir. I've noticed that since I've connected the SSD + HDD, its 30% slower at getting from Window's "Welcome" loading screen to the actual desktop vs. when I just had the SSD alone. Bummer.
Unplug the SSD and hook up just the HDD Set boot order to CDROM first Insert Windows disc in CDROM and boot into installation Wipe drive, re-partition,format drive, and install OS from the Windows installation Power down and hook up SSD to SATA0 and HDD to SATA1 Go back into BIOS and set boot order...
Thanks for the reply. Whats this about partitioning? I'm use to just letting the OS have the whole drive. Should I make a seperate 20 GB partition on my HDD and put OS there?
I have installed Win 7 on the SSD, updated the firmware. It's fast. Currently only the SSD is connected. I disconnected the 1TB platter drive before installing the OS on the 128GB SSD I have 97GB left on the SSD after OS installation. Now, I don't want to just plug the platter drive back in because ...

Yeah, the m4 seemed much more reliable (at the moment) than the more high performance ones. I'm sure I'll notice a difference in speed from going from 7200 rpm HD to a SSD lol. I need help though, I transferred my internals to the new case and installed the new goodies for myself. Tomorrow night I n...
To be honest, I've never heard of FM1 sockets. I chose AM3+ socket over AM3 socket so that I could possibly use the mobo in the future with a newer CPU.
The criteria I used when purchasing this mobo were: +integrated video +AM3+ socket +low cost +well known manufacturer with great reviews on the mobo
1/2) Yes, a 5770 is no longer a "high end" card but its cost/performance is still very respectable. I would definetly recommend a 6870 or equivalent as a graphics upgrade to the OP's system. (Might want to wait a couple months until the 7000 series come out though, at the very least the p...

I am passing down my Antec 300 and getting a NZXT Guardian 921 RB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146070 As well as getting the Crucial M3 solid state drive listed (which is NOT included in the 500-800 budget listed, I'm paying for that myself). Both of myself and my parents...

Hello everyone, I have the upgrade-bug and want to get my first SSD ever, mainly for speeding up boot time. I play a few games but nothing that I need to be put on the SSD. I know the SSD technology is rapidly changing since when I first heard about it so i have two questions: 1) Do you recommend a ...
550W seems questionable with the components you're throwing in here- although I'm just a noob. I have a 750 for my build which is probably more than needed. Somewhere in the middle is a safe place. You payed top dollar for the Ripsaw RAM 1600 Mhz. I bought that for my build on sale at newegg.com for...
Hey fellas, I'm looking for a firewall for my new kick ass computer, at the moment it doesn't have any anti virus software installed. Nortons has done me good in the past but they are $60 a subscription and I'm Jewish. I'm hoping someone can point me to a low cost or possibly free firewall that is d...
