Yeah one of the two major telecoms is owned by the guy who basically still is holding all of Charles Taylor's assets for him. I got tunnel bear to install and Windows update to run when connected to the US. (This is at my apartment) There must be some other routing going on at the lab that allows updates to run from there.

Fortunately we don't have to deal with the embedded windows often. The machine also defaults to a static IP which is why I couldn't connect to the network. I've tried each of the four dimms in each of the four sockets and also in pairs.
Only configuration that works is with one or two dimms in the B slots.

I'll check for bent pins next! Any idea what the chance of fixing a bent pin is?

Actually the "cheap" and "easy" way to do this is just run samples through a mass spectrometer! It can detect very small concentrations and match the signal detected with known compounds automatically. A GCMS would be best I think so you don't have to know too much about retentio...

OK so I know it has been a month, but I finally got my RMA.

They were able to reproduce the issue and sent me a different card.

It works perfectly!

So Hopefully if anyone else has this issue they can just RMA the card straight away without going through all the hassle!
