One more question... are most laptop power supplies capable of handling 220V? I know I'll need a plug adapter but are the units capable of handling it? Just wondering if I should invest in a 220V->110V transformer or if a plug adapter is sufficient.

There is a phpBB mod to allow each user to turn on and off avatars and signatures. I've got it on my forum and it works pretty well. I also saw a mod that would use Javascript to enforce avatar size limits, even for non-locally hosted avatars. IMO I think avatars are far less annoying than signature...

I used to use KPF heavily as well. I actually preferred it's predecessor, the free version of Tiny Personal Firewall, more but KPF wasn't too bad a replacement.

Right now I use the SP2 firewall combined with a broadband router. I don't do anything exotic and this fits my needs for now.
