It's just something someone can be proud about. Just like when people are proud of their culture, heritage, hometown, sportsteam, website, etc.. they tend to say something. Local pride is not really an new phenomenon, I don't understand why you are confused by it. People having loyalty and pride to ...

The film was basically a word for word and scene by scene adaptation of Miller's novel so it's understandable it would have some problems adapting to the screen. It was never meant to be historically accurate, come on it was a comic book. He just used an old story's premise to make a fun comic to re...

I say go with the 3007 if you can afford it. Size does matter and you can never have enough screen real estate or resolution. I've played on smaller monitors with better contrast ratios and response times but I still prefer the 30 inches of glory. 3007wfp isn't the best spec-wise but it is good enou...

The new brands warm up almost instantly. I like the phillps 'daylight' bulbs myself. Yes the equivalancy ratings are a bit overoptimistic. I hear they have dimmable flourescents now too.

Snow tires are nice when there is snow on the ground but crappy and loud whenever it isn't. I'm in MN and careful driving with quality all seasons sufficient for most people. I bought snow tires once and they were expensive, wore down to nothing quickly and only helped when in the first few hours of...

Personally for 25k I would pick up a older model NSX and save up later for a supercharger. Better handling than any of the cars listed, unique, reliable, great community and aftermarket, all aluminum (never rusts), a true exotic daily driver at a great price.

I just hope it doesn't turn out like Frank Miller's last comic turned movie Sin City, breathtaking visuals but a lacking script. I suggest you read the 300 comic first just to get the full effect. It's quite easy to get scanned versions online.

I used to be big in the hobby but it just became too time consuming and expensive. Water changes, tank cleanings, disease from feeders. I'm still going for Xbox 360. Graphics are about equal to PS3 but Xbox is much cheaper and has a price drop coming in Christimas. Also the Xbox has already been hack, with better mods on the way. I'm not interested in Blu Ray or HD-DVD really since I believe they will never take off.

Why? You're just trading an increased risk of coronary disease and diabetes for an increased risk of mental illness. Idolizing either one seems like a bad idea to me.
