Re: Tablet recommendations?

I do have a bit of an ulterior motive in that I've wanted to buy a tablet for a while, but this trip is the impetus (and spousal approval) to purchase one. So, while a smaller tablet might be better for smaller hands, I'd like to get something that the grown-ups will also enjoy.

Tablet recommendations?

Hello all, I am in the market for a tablet, mainly for travel purposes (i.e. entertaining a toddler during a long flight) and was wondering what the TR consensus would be. As this would be mainly for media consumption, I am currently looking at the iPad and the Nexus 7. The main advantages I see of ...

Re: The most amazing movie scene in film history

The fight scene in IP Man between Donny Yen and 10 other guys. One of the most visceral martial arts scenes ever.

If you wouldn't mind chipping in for the shipping costs, they're all yours. I also found a SB Audigy 2 laying around if you want it.

Re: The Ultimate DOSbox

If you're interested, I have an old P4 Northwood 2.8Ghz, stock HS, and a Soyo P4x400 Dragon mobo just sitting around. Also have an Antec 420W PSU. Both are perfectly functional. I also think I have an old Radeon 9800 Pro, but it may need a new cooler and thermal paste - as I remember, I starting get...

Xonar D2X, and Klipsch 4.1 speakers.

Upgraded from a SoundBlaster 2, and never looked back.

Re: Xonar DX, speaker fill (4 channel stereo)

Ahh thank you for the response. Someone else has thrown that suggestion at me on another forum and (apparently it works) Now my concern is, when you fire up a '3D' game with surround like Half Life 2 or most modern FPS games, aren't you effectively telling the game 'hey, I only have 2 speakers' - t...

Re: Xonar DX, speaker fill (4 channel stereo)

No problem - I've been reading TR religiously for a quite a while now, and figured I should join the fray, since I had something worthwile to contribute. :D

Re: Xonar DX, speaker fill (4 channel stereo)

Thought I'd add my 2 cents, since I had a similar problem. I have the Xonar D2X, with Klipsch 4.1 speakers, and noted the same problem after switching to the Xonar- I noticed that only my front speakers would output sound when playing music (from iTunes). After a lot of tinkering with various settin...
