Re: wireless access for outer buildings

Hi, I’m trying to extend my WIFI to a metal trailer about 50 yards from my home network. Ideally the access points should be weather resistant. I’d also like to have WIFI access by the pool which is also about 50 yards away, but about 160 degrees in another direction. Would a mesh network be a poss...

Skyrim... no, really. Got the anniversary edition. Some graphics updates, some new quests, and built-in survival mode.

It's still fun after all these years.

It's funny, there's an article on the front page telling us how to build robust communities. I think there should be some demonstrable evidence that you know what you're talking about when you write an article like that. :-? The old techreport knew how to build communities, the current one, I haven...

One of the takeaways from this thing should be how horribly inefficient the FDA has been when it comes to reviewing and approving these things. What we saw with these vaccines is what happens when the process is actually allowed to proceed at the same rate as testing - not waiting for months or yea...

I've heard people say they won't get the experimental injection because someone has to stay behind to bury all of the sheep. I got the J&J, although I'm not happy about it. None of these injections are anywhere close to completing Phase 3 clinical trials. Those usually take up to 4 years. For a...

I had a similar issue a while back and ended up uninstalling Chrome and then reinstalling. Never quite figured out the root cause, but the symptoms were basically the same as what you are describing... the machine would run fine for hours and then if I opened Chrome everything ground to a halt. It d...

Why diss Renee? Probably not her call, and she's just doing what the owners hired her to do. Whether or not it's her call, it's the reality of what has happened to the site. The owners have shown no interest in the site beyond using it as a click magnet; they stripped it down to nothing, and the on...

Never, never pre-order. I've adopted this as a general principle for all software of any kind. The couple of times that I have pre-ordered a game, it never ended up being a game that I played for very long. I don't think I ended up playing any of them for more than about 12 hours. Especially given ...

Another one to consider is https://famisafe.wondershare.com/ - one nifty feature it has is geofencing, basically you setup a boundary (your neighborhood for example) and it'll alert you if the tracked phone goes outside of that area.

Is this only happening with Steam games? Does it happen with other launchers (Origin for example) or for games that are standalone? If it's only happening in Steam, then it sounds like for whatever reason Steam doesn't recognize your GPU as an option, or sees some problem with it, and is therefore s...

Also salt was used as a fertilizer in SMALL AMOUNTS. If you use too much you kill the plants. If the land was barren from over use but still in decent shape you could help the land.
