I saw it this afternoon and thought it was just over 5/10. It really is an amazingly lame story if you look at even slightly deeper than the surface. And I never thought I'd ever ever see a repeat of the comical setting from that old '60s movie The Long Ships where the hero escapes the torture chamb...
How does a gunman kill that many people? He had to of reloaded given most magazine capacities and the fact that not every shot was a kill. I hate to be morbid but seriously, wtf. Did the cops get some FF in the way? Sad, sad day. I hope we hear from you soon VaTech. It takes barely 2 seconds to loa...
I had the same problem when I first got my 4.1 Klipsch speakers. It's ridiculous that Windows speaker settings don't activate the rear speakers. You need to turn the the rears on through the sound card driver.
Yes, Miss Brown, my grade two teacher. She moved away at the end of the year but she let me come to her house and help her move. And then she gave me one of her boyfriend's ties to remember her. Heartbreaker.
Blockbuster is already promoting Get Halo 3 free in exchange for 4 old XBox games. The games have to meet a certain used price point but it looks reasonable and I've got 4 just collecting dust so why not.
It amazes me that people extrapolate their own context onto a film and then claim that the directors/writers/producers are supporting this or condemning that. But hey, guess what. WAR NEVER CHANGES!... But the STORY does, and that's what makes your claim factually wrong. While the graphic novel ver...

...Additionally, could you explain why you cut the next paragraph that starts with "Frank Miller has always celebrated fascism in his comics. Might makes right to him, and while he likes to examine the effects that an ethos of moral correctness through violence has on characters like Batman, he doe...
can someone explain to me how he linked this movie to america? To answer your questions: 1) He didn't. You did. Along with a lot of other people. 2) It's not, so you can quit being so smug. And no, the US does not see itself as the only "free" country in the world. UK, Spain, France, Germany, Italy...
What if the Spartans are Muslim extremists, trying to fend off the US as it tries to spread it's view of Democracy across their land? Still inspirational? I suppose you could try to make that argument (Xerxes invading in part because he was trying to accomplish what his father Darius failed at 10 y...
As for Rotten Tomatoes, its at 61% rating at the moment. I think you're looking at the Critic's rating. Above that is the user rating: 90%. Personally, I give more weight to the user rating. I used to be a movie reviewer on tv and I've worked in journalism long enough to know most of these critics ...
Interesting replies to my initial post. I suspect most, like flip-mode’s (what’s this story even about?) were made before having seen the film. If you did see the film and didn’t find the sub-text remarkably parallel to current world events then see it again. And again if necessary. If, on the other...
The vision of a film that is pro-Bush, pro-USA, anti-United Nations, anti-gay, and flaunts the philosophy that "all men are NOT created equal" is even more striking than the visuals. Come back after seeing 300 or come back on your shield!
What's amusing is that it's true - anybody who's used Vista (i used RC2 as the only OS on my PC for about 2 montsh) knows how many times you have to tell the OS that you do want to do something. FWIW, OS X does prompt you for certain things, but only for writing to folders that require Admin access...
Bah, that's nothing. Try -150 degrees. There's a new 'medical treatment' that uses extreme cold to shock the circulation system. It's a two-chamber process. You prep for 30 seconds at the -100, and then proceed naked into the -150 chamber. 30 seconds later your you run out. Extremely unpleasant but ...
As to Mac-lovers now touting their ability to run Windows (which in all prior flamewars would have really confused the Mac-vs-PC discussion), I am Jack's Complete Lack of Suprise.. I see. Macs are better now thet they can run Windows, hehe. A Ferrari would be better if it could transform into a SUV...
I used Macs for about 7 years and gradually came to loathe them (and despise Apple). Around 96 I switched to PCs and was incredibly impressed and happy with the change. Way, way more stable, responsive and productive and simply more like a friend I could depend upon. After numerous top of the line P...
I agree with Vrock that plasma is the best tech (crts don't count; way too tiny to provide a cinema experience). BUT, if you're a game console fan plasmas simply aren't appropriate (don't let anyone tell you otherwise). So, with plasmas eliminated, the only tech that even comes close is LCD.
In a few days the next generation Sharp 52D92U LCD will be announced/released and it should be amazing. 1920x1080P on all inputs, the highest contrast ratio of any LCD set, the best color, and likely HDMI 1.3. That's what I would go with (hopefully I'll have one by the end of the month). Weighs 98lb...
