I've played UT2k3 for some time, also. 1. Learn to dodge first, everything else follows. You should be moving all the time, and not jumping up and down, like in Quake. That is a big no-no because you are making your moves predictable--one just has to shoot at your landing zone. Bunny jumping does no...

This isn't really a personal resolution. I'm gonna get at least a hundred people to vote in November, people who might not have voted. I'm going to get my neighbors registered to vote and if they need a ride to the ballot box on Election Day, dammit, I'm gonna give them one. This way, I will feel a ...

I have to disagree. Being a Nice Guy is an exercise in futility. People are confusing the whole idea. Recovering from being a Nice Guy does not mean being an a**hole. There is absolutely nothing wrong with deciding to stop pleasing others, because it does not work. It's about just being yourself and...

Burn everything in the box ASAP. You could potentially spend the rest of your natural life dwelling in self-pity and misery while toying with the contents of the box, couldn't you? There won't be any kind of real healing if you constantly dwell on her and her miserable ways. Like taking a dagger and...

That's interesting...my idea of "letting go" is to forget the floozie. A clean break! She doesn't even deserve this grief you're agonizing over. This is why you can't burn the stuff. If you never deal with this, it'll be in the back of your mind every time you ever look at a girl. Every time you eve...

That kind of pain sure hurts. I feel for ya. All I can recommend to you is that you keep your chin up--everything that reminds you of her--if it is within 50 yards of you--get rid of it. Pack up all the photos and all the crap and woeful reminders and 1. put it in a box and burn it or 2. put it in a...

Why not slow down the rapidly growing size of the forum? Allow the hyper-posters to change their post count to whatever number they like, because the number is irrelevant. That way, they can feel more important without leaving all the pointless posts. The only prolific poster I've seen on this forum...

I've worked for a famous PCB (printed circuit board) manufacturing company. We routinely ran systemboards, or motherboards, through an x-ray machine as a part of the production process. It helps detect cracked solder joints that would normally be missed by QA. X-rays aren't likely to do anything bad...

It's not really MS; it's C++ that they use to code Windows that leads to memory leaks. MemTurbo works pretty well. I've tried it. The problem is that it cripples itself after 30 days unless you pay money for the license. There is freeware out there that works just as well, for free. Try RamBooster. ...
