What's the ppd output like these days? Haven't they bumped to mandatory 32-cores already, taking out a whole bunch of potentially capable systems?

Around 228k PPD on 8104/8105, normally get around 250k per completed WU. Yes, PG decided to up the minimum core count for BA WUs last year I believe.

Anyone still able to fold BigAdv units? I would not think so.

Yes, still chowing down on BA's. Never used GPU's for folding, SMP only. :)

Re: SMP'ers Unite?

With temperatures warming up I have shutdown my GPU client. In comparison, although not as powerful algorithmically, what level of heat do your GPU's produce versus your CPUs? 6-core CPU only would produce only 27K PPD. Wow, thats quite a sad return for a workhorse proc. I'm guessing thats a hex-co...

Re: TR Frankenbot 2013

Krogoth's assumptions are correct, that particular system is indeed a 2P E5-2670 v1. I do have a few 4P machines (Opt. 6376's) as well but unfortunately they cannot participate in the FAH shuffle. :(

Here's one of my lil SMP buddies chomping away on some Frankie WUs, he's a hungry little fella.

Re: TR Frankenbot 2013

Switched all but one of my folding nodes over to Frankie on the 1st/2nd of the month. The remaining system has yet to be found, if and when I do find it, it will also join in the Frankie horrorfest. Its a shame that we don't get greater participation from other TR folders. Its times like these that ...

Re: Nice work lazl0... TR PPD Folder #2

lazl0: Judging from your PPD profile, it looks like you've added an i7 920/930/950 to the farm? Thanks JPinTO, unfortunately this increase will be short lived b/c I'm just burning in a new server. I'm happy to contribute to TR's folding anyway that I can. No i7 here, the server has two 6-Core 8435 ...
