Re: Formula One 2018

Apparently, £203,800,000 ($274,000,000 or €232,000,000) can buy Vandoorne's seat for your son (and 10% of McLaren Group). https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/mclaren-200m-shareholder-michael-latifi-1040100/?s=1 I'd guess that this was a pre-emptive strike against the phenomenal talent exhibited by La...

Re: Battletech game coming out

The last mission is another two-parter. You won't have an opportunity to repair or heal between the parts, so you may potentially need up to 7 assault or heavy mechs and pilots. My reputation with the Arano Restoration is up to +349. Weldry is now a four-skull challenge level. In hindsight, I wo...

Re: Battletech game coming out

I moved a mech and the game got stuck. It zoomed in to follow me walking and then just stopped. I couldn't move the screen, couldn't click on anything, just stood there. Not sure where the auto-save is. I let it sit like that for 20 minutes and then just quit, since I couldn't save. I was technical...

Re: Battletech game coming out

I honestly didn't find the Liberation: Smithon mission as hard as some others. I believe that my lance for that mission had a light Jenner, a medium Wolverine and two Shadowhawks. I had moved a medium mech armed with MLasers and an autocannon up above the point where the trucks spawn. The ammo truck...

Re: Battletech game coming out

What pushes the scaling up of contract challenge levels? Is it based on the passing of time, progress in the story, mercenary hall ranking, or some other arcane method of ensuring that each time that I start believing that the latest upgrades to my lance will make things easier, the OpFor scales up ...

Iron in the +1 oxidiation state (Fe + ) is mostly water soluble, unless your pH is extremely high. Oxidize it to the +3 state (Fe +++ ) with air, chlorine, etc. and it is very easy to precipitate ferric oxide hydrate (Fe 2 O 3 · H 2 O) as a red-orange gelatinous goo that is easily filtered out at mi...

Re: Anyone repair anything today?

Indeed. And if you want to do better, you need to resort to RO or distillation, which actually remove impurities, instead of swapping them for less problematic ones. To the contrary, if you swap cations that cause hardness (e.g.: Ca ++ , Mg ++ and Fe +++ ) for hydronium (H + ) and you swap anions (...

Re: Anyone repair anything today?

Ion exchange resins are called that because they exchange ions for which they have lower affinity (e.g.: Na+) for ions for which the affinity is higher (e.g.: Ca++).

When they released Pascal they stopped making Maxwell parts, Isn't GeForce MX130 still Maxwell? It seems like they will frequently just rename an old part and continue to sell it. e.g.: the Fermi GPU in GeForce GT420/GT430/GT440 became GeForce GT415M/GT420M/GT425M/GT435M became GeForce GT530 became...

Re: Formula One 2018

Grosjean's three-spot grid penalty seems pretty light for the dangerous move that he pulled. The consequences might very easily have been much more tragic than totaling out three multi-million dollar race cars and wrecking the races of two other drivers. F1 teams are conducting a test at Barcelona t...

Re: Is a bigger monitor with lower pixel density necessarily worse than a smaller one with higher pixel density?

I've currently got a 31½" 2560x1440 primary monitor with a 24" 1200x1900 secondary beside it. Both of these are around 96 ppi. Once you're old enough to begin getting far-sighted, teeny tiny pixel pitches will not seem as cool as they do when you're in your 20s.

You absolutely want to do enough of the story to have your benefactor give you the Argo . This is a massive game-changing upgrade for your mercenary company. Since the Argo , the best thing that I've received as a story mission reward is a well-preserved 90-ton Highlander HGN-732b. I like this mech ...

For your 1920x1200 @60Hz monitor, you would probably want to get to the $240 Radeon RX 570 or $290 GeForce GTX1060 6GiB level of performance (budget permitting). Your Ivy Bridge processor with 12 GiB of DDR3 and an SSD is sufficient. https://www.techspot.com/article/1600-far-cry-5-benchmarks/ https:...

The thing which is really killing traditional TV are the commercials. There's still ads on Twitch and Youtube, but they don't occupy a significant portion of the time you spend watching something. I don't expect things to change any time soon, but more and more people are just not interested in dea...

The sprint will give you high evasion against the enemy's first attacks. Combat mode will begin on the next round after sensor contact is made. If...
