Re: Official: Ryzen 3700X and 3900X review comments

i think im going back to Intel and getting a 9600k https://www.techspot.com/review/1871-amd-ryzen-3600/ Ryzen 5 3600 offers a tremendous value. It smoked the Core i5-9600K in every single application benchmark we ran and worst case matches its single core performance. You get 12 threads opposed to ...

Re: Official: Ryzen 3700X and 3900X review comments

Once the pace of improvement of semiconductor fabrication process technology slowed down (or actually stopped more recently at Intel, Global Foundries and UMC), the chip designers have had to increase performance by making their designs more efficient. They've cleverly used up what used to be waste...

Re: Do new phones have significantly better radios?

The main problem is that the increasingly higher frequency signals like what they use for cell phones are bad at penetrating deeply into solid materials, so at a certain point the signal just won't get through. Interference can also be a problem. In my experience Verizon has a better signal than Sp...

if you can get an x58 cheap enough the 6 core xeons are crazy cheap at the moment i picked up an x58 mobo i7 920 and 6gb ram recently for $60au - admittedly thats mega cheap but if you keep your eye out bargains are around you can get a 6core12thread xeon for under $30 depending on what model you wa...
