Re: Buzzing noise coming from Asus Strix 980 after exiting g

That is common coil wine. It has been around for sometime on powerful graphics cards. Though it's pretty common for the 900 series cards now. I have the same issue with my 970 SLI, its not harmful to the card and eventually it will go away with time. If it really bothers you, you can submit a RMA wi...

Re: 27" Korean IPS or Wait?

The eBay Qnix 1440p monitors are good as well. For $300 and 3 day shipping from Korea is pretty awesome. The monitors are very good as well and can reach a OC from 96-120hz. Though DVI-D only as the input.

Re: Good 2.1 computer speakers

I built my own custom 2.1 setup a little over a year ago after buying the BOSE Companion 5's to upgrade from Logitech Z300 2.1 system and then being completely disappointed with BOSE craptastic speakers. I started with creating a decent 2.1 then worked my way now to a 4.1 system. Below are the compo...

Re: New to PC's -- Friend wants to build me a "Beast" machin

listen to everyone here they know their stuff. Also add in a monitor into your system as well. Decent TN panels sub $200 have come a long way. You will get much better clarity and picture quality with a proper 24" LCD pc monitor than that vizio 720p tv your using. If you have some money now new...

Re: Eyefinity or Surround Build

Adam, I would go with a 6950 crossfire setup. Would save you $100 on both video cards, and its very simple to unlock shader's and oc the core/memory to get 6970 speeds. There are tons of correct threads on overclock.net and even some here I believe on the best way to do so. Even if you don't want to...

Re: Gun prOn!

If it was against the law to purchase any gun out of state. Then all online gun brokers will be out of business. They have to ship it to a local FFL, who then processes the paper work, etc. Likewise, when I sell any firearm on Gunbroker to an out of state individual, if it's a rifle it can go from ...

Just got back from the show in chantilly, va. Pretty damn upset. Saw a nice Saiga 7.62x39 ak for under $400 got ready to buy until the dealer saw my license. They will not sell to residents of Maryland. Really blown. Both my father and I were going to purchase guns from them. AFAIK, it's against th...

Re: Gun prOn!

Hi-point c9 (yes I know..) Nothing wrong with Hi-Points. Sure, they're ugly and heavy, and they may not win you any bullseye matches or cool points at the range....but they're cheap, and they work well as a basic self-defense gun or a plinker. For ~$180 you get a decent firearm with an excellent wa...

Re: Ok car people........which one should I consider?

Never once did I call you an idiot or make it seem that way. Im not bashing on you either for picking the eclipse. Nothing wrong with them and everyone has a vehicle that suites them better. That's why there are so many choices these days. But what I'm really concerned with are these over exaggerate...

Re: Ok car people........which one should I consider?

I still can't believe you actually believe that kind of bs. The seals do not break if the car is stored during winter. That is a very absurd statement and 100% false. I store my rx8 every winter and do proper maintenance when spring comes. Never once felt like the engine was falling apart the way yo...

Re: Ok car people........which one should I consider?

Hoser decent choice on the car. I have eclipse as a DD as well going strong 8 years old. Also who in the world told you the RX8's need to replace the seals every spring........ That's one of the most absurd things I have ever heard in my life. The main thing with the rx8's which is just basicly Rota...

Re: First Time Builder - Mid-Range System Summer 2011

I agree with most of the responses to this thread here. I really like the 600T in white as well, I think thats a fantastic case and I may go ahead and grab it as Im getting tired of my Storm Sniper. Water cooling in the 600t is cramped and not easy for a first timer. Your best bet is the Corsair Hyd...

Re: Car with best 0-60 for under $25k, new or used

My brother in law has an RX8. It looks hot and drives really well on paved roads. Where it falls short are mpg (low 20's if you're lucky), comfort (there's really no back seat, and the drive and passenger sit really low, which is cool but not the epitome of comfort), and bad weather driving. That l...

Re: Car with best 0-60 for under $25k, new or used

jdl from reading this thread it seems you dont want a manual, you want decent gas mileage, and something comfortable. Any type of EVOs, WRXs, or something of the sort is not something I would recommend. I would recommened the Hyundai genesis 2.4T but at the end of the day its still a Hyundai :P. Cam...
