Re: FX 9590 and Asus Sabertooth 990FX compatible?

I have a FX 9590,PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk III 850 watt,GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770, and Asus Sabertooth 990fx motherboard. It works fine, I disable turbo core function so it doesn't go up to 5 GHZ this increase my system performance about 4%. You will need to do some kind of water...

Re: Intel vs AMD

If money no issue then go with Intel, Intel is better deal. I just recently brought AMD FX 9590 4.7/5GHZ from overclockers.co.uk for about 340.00 US dollars with shipping included. Just make sure you get a all-in-one cpu water cooler for it. Processor works great.

Re: FX-8350 $220

Intel does have better processors, before Intel Core 2 processors released I remembered how Intel fans said that Intel XE 965 3.73GHZ was better than AMD 64 FX62 2.8GHZ processor in performance benchmarks, if you looked at benchmarks you know that is not true. If you want to use AMD then do so. I mi...

Re: Is it time to rebuild a new AMD platform?

I might wait until Piledriver core of Bulldozer eight core chip comes out , otherwise AMD FX-8150 will do. Yes Intel Cpus are faster, AMD FX-8150 is competitive in games and apps that use more than four cores, I was very disappointed in AMD FX-8150 benchmarks! Competition is good, before Core 2 proc...

Re: Help with finding the right PSU

I have Pc Power 750W power supply in my system. The power supply is about four years old, it is rock sold, quiet, and two years ago I built a new system, except the power supply. System specs Phenom II X6 1090T over clocked to 3.8 Ghz, 8 GB memory, factory over clocked Gigabyte 5850 video card, and ...

Re: New to PC's -- Friend wants to build me a "Beast" machin

Intel CPUs are faster and better value, if you go with AMD, go with the eight core Bulldozer, recently there has been updates patches through Microsoft. The games you want to play and future games will work with the eight core Bulldozer CPUS. I don't see a need for a SSD drive, if you want your game...

Re: Upgrading my Old Clunker

I would get a least 16GB of memory just because it's so cheap. I think November 14 2011 Intel will be releasing their new processors. Rig 1:Processor: Intel Core I7-2600k if you don't plan to over clock Intel Core I7-2600 Motherboard: Gigabyte Ga-768P-DS3 LGA 1155 intel z768 Memory: Corsair Vengeanc...

Re: Building my First Computer- "Sweeter Spot" for college-

What you have listed here is a good deal and it will work. I would stay with a 16:10 LCD monitor. I have a Asus Vk266H 2ms(GTG) monitor, perfect for gaming, came with no dead pixels. Web cab not of a high quality, but ok. Samsung hard drives are the most dependability hard drives. Samsung sold their...

Re: Building new PC (again)...thoughts?

Information you asked for. L3 Cache is shared between all the cores of the cpu, it's like memory. Games , 3d modeling and rendering, etc applications have code that is consistently be used and L3 cache is a lot faster than system memory, newer software would probably take more advantage of it. Sata ...

Re: Building new PC (again)...thoughts?

What you have listed here is a good deal and it will work. It seem like you already looked at Tech Report CPU benchmarks. The app that you are using I don't know how many cpu cores it can use? The links I have listed below shows a alternate system configuration . The new PC cost is about $463.00 shi...
