user logon name vs user logon name (pre windows 2000)

Hi

Can someone explain to me  what's the difference between user logon name and user logon name (pre windows 2000)?

My user logon name and user logon name (pre windows 2000) is different yet somehow when I login I use the (pre windows 2000) instead of user logon name.

Password prompt for USB

Hi Guys

I'm trying to lock down a server so when someone plugs a USB drive it would prompt the user to enter a password first.

I'm trying to achieve using windows instead of a third party software however looking online wasn't much help.

Can this be done via group policy or not?

Re: Copying user profile from windows 7

The problem is when I try to copy the profile that I want in windows 7 I get a pop up saying I don't have owner permission for some of the files, so copying the profile in windows 7 is not easy.

Where to get Exchange 2010 from?

Hi

Does anyone know where to get Exchange 2010 from? Do you download it from Microsoft then activate it?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm running Server 2008 R2 Enterprise and want to install exchange on it, is that possible? Or do I need Server 2008 R2 Datacenter? Thanks

Hi

I was wondering if you know of any proxy site that offers 30 days trial (i'm not talking about the ones you type on Google and put them in the web browser).

I'm talking about something simialr to PPTP or a little bit more secure (if you know of one). Thanks

Re: Packet sniffing tool

My router is not capable of doing something like that (i:e monitoring network traffic), I thought there is some sort of software out there that can monitor network LAN traffic

I'm not interested in buying another router as my current one works fine. Thanks
