Re: FYI, W10 "Optimise" fixed my SSD file delays.

SSDs are doing all kinds of optimization on their own, absolutely. That's SSD makers' secret sauce, and details are not known to anyone else. TRIM is the name of a command that the OS sends to the SSD each time a file is deleted, so it must be supported by both the OS and the SSD. This is the way t...

10 slot USB Powered HUB...use limit?

I've got 5 dvd drives plugged into 5 USB slots in my pc. Want to use the HUB and only use one high speed slot in my pc. I've read that trying to use all the slots in the HUB will be iffy. I'll be using half... Five dvds being read at once. Anyone have much experience using a lot of HUB slots? Things...

"the cause"...that could be having a second monitor attached or having the AMD drivers installed or both.

So that software's capture driver interferes? I don't know the cause of the screen flashing. The screen can be fine for hours and then flashes of some kind of stuff on screen start up. With OBS running the flashing stops. I've read of AMD screen flashing with two dual monitors installed. And that's...

I finally found in task manager network details a listing of the total bytes received after starting task manager. Approx 484 MB for 3 (39 minute) episodes. You don't need a Threadripper, specifically, you just need something that supports PCIe lane bifurcation. A few thoughts... The x8 slot is PCIe 3.0, while the x4 slot is PCIe 2.0. Maybe the Intel SSDs are having trouble negotiating the proper bus speed when plugged into PCIe 3.0 slot? The x8 slot shares bandwidth with the x16 slot (x16 slot effectively becomes x8 when the x8 slot is in use); were you a...

There are literally 9 different X370 motherboards from Gigabyte. Which one do you have? Is it possible that the 2TB drives appear to be bootable, and the system is therefore trying (unsuccessfully) to boot from them when they are installed in the first M.2 slot? Check the boot order in the BIOS. Mo...

Regex Renamer not working in W10. Was fine in W7Pro.

...why were you screwing with manual clock settings? With Zen 2 you're almost always better off just letting the boost algorithms do their thing; this is doubly true on very old boards. 1.5 volts and 90C is not acceptable.
