I forced it to channel 11 (was on 3) and set it to pure wireless G mode. Tested it with the phone in use. It's working! Wow, this looks like it may be a simple solution.

Wireless house phone killing B/G network! Need help!

Hi everyone. I recently moved into a condo and every time one of my roommates uses her wireless house phone it kills the wireless network they have set up. I know that wireless phones have been known to cause issues with networks, but I have never seen anything this bad. It completely kills the sign...

Need help with a "boot loader"

I want to run Windows XP and Ubuntu, but I need to find a boot loader. This is my first crack at using multi-OS and Linux so I would like something that is fairly easy to use. What would people recomend?

If you pay for Yahoo Mail Plus ($20 a year) they automatically give you the Beta upgrade. That's how I got on it.

Gmail vs YahooMail Beta

I finally got a chance to play around with the new Yahoo Mail Beta and thought I would share some impressions. I have been using Gmail as my main email account for some time now and am a big fan of its advanced search functions and speed of use, but I have to say, from a pure user interface standpoi...

Just an update. I went ahead and did a format of my main HDD again. Everything is working perfect now. All this makes me glad that I keep my files on another HDD so when I have to format my Windows install it's no big deal. 8)

Yes, hdd is set first. :)

I will try unplugging it and putting it back in. If I can't fix it I may just reinstall everything again since I am not that far into loading all my programs.

I don't think so because I noticed it even before I had all the patches installed. I am fairly sure it got hung up right after Sp2 (which I have on a CD) and kept doing it. I have never seen this happen before.

Weird problem after fresh Windows XP install...

Hi everyone. Basically I am having a strange issue after a fresh Win XP install. During bootup it seems to hang for more then 30 to 40 secs after the bios is done and before it shows the loading screen, I don't even see any HDD activity. I'm not new at this, and do a fresh Win XP install once a year...

Problem with Outlook

Hi guys, I got a quick help question with Outlook. I never use the program myself (stick with webmail and Thunderbird), but I was working on a friend of my mom's computer to fix it for her and we kept running into an issue I could not solve. Every time a hyperlink inside an email is clicked it would...

Anyone know of a good online Dreamweaver site?

I'm looking for something along the lines of a tutorial or a website that has lots of good resources to help learn the program.

Thanks! 8)

The Ram is in the mail. Called and talked to a friendly NewEgg rep who gave me a RMA for a full refund. No "repair exchange" and no 15% fee. Go Newegg! So now I got to pick some new Ram to get. Since I can't run it at 400 FSB it actually opens my options a little. I may just buy another stick of 512...

An update on what's happening. Well after some extended use I am finding that my computer is randomly rebooting now. I have even got a couple messages on a "blue screen" (not the dreaded Blue Screen of Death) that basically tell me there is a hardware problem with my computer now. The comp has even ...

AVG 7.0 is my fav free Anti-Virus program. I tried Avast and didn't care for it. Kerio is my favorite software firewall. I used to use Zonealarm but found it to be too much of a system hog and glitchy too. This topic reminds me of an interesting question I brought up on these boards before. Do you e...

The reason I am asking is because I am going to be buying a larger HDD soon and wanted to invest in a SATA drive, but currently my mobo does not have SATA. I know that I am getting a new mobo next year and am thinking long term.

Quick Q

Can you use an adaptor to run a SATA HDD with plain old Ultra ATA 100? My motherboard only has the old ATA.

I ran 3Dmark and noticed that my score didn't go up much. My CPU is clocked at the same speed and the Ram bandwith is still 333, but with these two sticks I have it running in Duel-Channel now. I had figured I would get a boost from that and the extra 512 Ram. I'm going to play with it some more. 8)...

I'm running it at 333 right now. I want to see if I can hit 2.0 CAS with timings around 2 2 6.

Not sure how it will run.

Non Ultra. It's the Mobile version of the CPU so it comes fully "unlocked." I have been able to run it at many different speeds up to around 11x400 (10X400 runs a little better) with no problems and heat under control. That takes it up to XP 3000+ speed if I am thinking correct. It's a nice CPU. I a...

Well when I said it was the Ram I meant "the ram more then likely is the cause of the issue because of compatibility issues with my mobo." I didn't mean the Ram itself was bad (but that's still an option. I need to test it on another computer to be sure). I am running a MSI K7N2 Nforce 2 mobo. My CP...

Well I did a lot of research before I went out last night and it seems seems most sites claim there is only about a 1% to 9% speed difference in the "cheap" stuff all the way up the high end stuff. I think I will just end up buying some mid-range stuff so I can fool with it if I ever want to over cl...
