Re: New Poweramp for Android

Why dont you use spotify or etc? What kind of music quality do you listen on it? In short why you choice these apps? I spend a couple of hours a day in a metal can on a commuter train with spotty signal coverage, so I like having the entire music collection stored in the phone. This also has the de...

Re: New Poweramp for Android

Been using this for awhile now and will not go back to any of the others, it can actually bi-pass the android ecosystem and hook into the audio codec itself...which is great on my Lg G5 as I get 24/192. Plus I can play iso and dsd format as well. http://www.extreamsd.com/index.php/products/usb-audi...

Re: .flac to .mp3 conversion?

If you're storing the files in the phone in FLAC format to get better fidelity, why do you want a lossy codec in the signal path at all? If you really care about lossless audio, use a wired connection. If you're going to use Bluetooth, you might as well use a lossy codec for your media files as wel...

Re: GTX 1060 No Display

I have a spare GT 640 that won't work in newer machines running in pure UEFI mode. That GPU only works when CSM/Legacy mode is enabled. If your board is currently running in legacy BIOS compatibility mode, it might not POST with a newer, possibly UEFI-only graphics card. Try this: boot the system w...

Re: really weird charging problem with my V20

Good to hear about the V20 though that dual screen does not really interest me. When I first got it I was kinda thinking "is this really gonna be useful or is it just a gimmick?" I've actually found it pretty useful in its own right. It's really nice to have a set of shortcuts to some app...

As for chargers, those are one of those things I will simply not buy cheap for, in the end whats an extra $20 to get quality and reliability.

Re: Guild Wars 2 performance

I suppose I'll test Planetside 2 here in a bit. These are some great suggestions thus far. I'd think if WDDM was cutting DX9 performance potentially in half it would be a much wider reported issue, though. synthel2's thoughts sound like a good track to go down. Any ideas on how one would go about t...

Re: G4 and Android 7

I have been one of the few it seems who really likes the G4, was worried what was said about the G5 and figured may as well skip the G6 as well and move on to the V20 but learned the V30 is coming out in September so may as well wait for the V30. So far as the wireless charging goes count me out, af...

What phone are you using these days, JBI? APTx is helpful, if your phone supports it. But it's still Bluetooth. And your audio quality is only as good as your worst point. I wonder what the standard bitrate/codec whatever is in common Bluetooth audio profiles. I'm only using a cheap Kenwood head un...
