Re: FF 29.0.1

I find FF 29 and 29.0.1 to be quite sluggish in comparison to 28. It often slows to a crawl at random intervals especially when loading a new tab, switching tabs, or encountering a lot of elements on a webpage. It's frustrating when something gets worse that you frequently use like a browser.

Re: pc stopped working, fans rev every 3 sec but pc wont tur

I had a similar problem about a year ago with my PC. Got me puzzled for a while because the fans kept kicking in for a brief second or two then seemingly restarting in a loop. I realized that I hadn't plugged either the power cable to the GPU or CPU, can't quite remember which it was. As soon as I f...

Re: Electrical / Soldering Kit

Complete package with a soldering iron for only $30-50 seems a bit hard to come by, if not impossible at least here in Australia. I've never seen something like you showed in that link with a whole bunch of general purpose parts for a sort of DIY at home kinda thing. Anyway.. I can add a bit to the ...

Re: Spam Email, Phishing

I've seen tons of spam come to my gmail lately, and by lately as in the last week or two. Not sure if it's got something to do with the LinkedIn leak recently. The spam has been in the form of phishing attemts, trying to dupe users into clicking to check your facebook friend invitations from inside ...

Re: Opera 11.64 problem

Thanks PGleo86 for your reply, it's interesting to hear how the Opera experience is with others and to know I'm not the only one with weird problems. I was using Firefox when going on Facebook lately due to the issue but recently decided to try it again with Opera 11.64 and am happy to report that i...

Opera 11.64 problem

Hi guys, overnight my Opera install updated itself from 11.62 to 11.64. Running on WinXP Pro 32bit. It seemed all fine until I tried to access Facebook *yes I use it.. runs*. It loads part way - the top blue bar, grey lined frame that goes around content, the bottom about/contacts etc text - but the...

Yep, I can confirm that your screenshot looks a bit off. My work PC has AVG free 2012 and has rounded "bubble" boxes.

KIS 2012 false positive detection, how to undo??

Hello, This morning my Kaspersky internet security 2012 updated its virus definitions as usual. Afterwards it did a quick scan of the system and FALSELY marked "IntelAudioStudio.exe" as a rootkit (located in C:\Program Files\Intel Audio Studio\). It displayed a window informing me of the r...
