Re: Hey guys!! Need a bit of help!

Ouch. Isn't Free Sync for AMD users? Do you have any suggestions monitor wise? Should I go for the standard monitor, with hmdi ports to play consoles and such?

Re: Hey guys!! Need a bit of help!

Display!

With my Nvidia card, would gsync be worth it? I'm buying a Nintendo Switch, and when I'm not gaming on the PC, I'd love to hook up the consoles and play, since the TV is taken over by the wife and she uses the PS4 on it. Suggestions? Thanks!

She's running 16 GB of ram atm. Caught the memory on sale a few months ago and added 2 more sticks.

Re: Hey guys!! Need a bit of help!

Maybe a bigger SSD? I would just get another 8 GB of memory instead of 16 as well as a SSD and a new GPU later. I'm running a 6 GB Nvidia 1060 currently. The system is a few years old already. I'd love to build a new system and give this one to my wife who is a Graphic Designer. No dice lol. Ah wel...

Re: Hey guys!! Need a bit of help!

Actually they aren't. I'm VERY pleased with the quality of my gaming. I'm pushing high to ultra on a lot of games hitting 60/65 FPS if not higher on some things. I'm not over clocking or pushing my system. I see a game I want to play and well, it plays it. Very well in fact. I say this with default ...

Re: Looking for an upgrade to my current video card

I might have gotten the sweet end of a deal. Talked to a friend of mine earlier, he's got an extra GeForce GTX 760 2GB laying around, that he says he'll let me test it out and he'll let me have it for 50 bucks if I want it. I think I might test it out against what I have and see how it fairs. Sorry...

I'll check on it. Just found EVGA 04G-P4-2768-KR GeForce GTX 760 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support SC 4GB w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card on Newegg pretty cheap too. I should get to bed, too many options and so much time but I find myself being some what impatient at times.

Re: Looking for an upgrade to my current video card

Remember the PSU lie- those 'recommendations' are based on the benchmark set by the crappiest units sold. A Seasonic is good for ~30% over it's rating in GPU-vendor wattage. As for the video card? Still wait. There's another Nvidia card coming, and custom-cooled AMD cards with them. Unless your car...

Re: Looking for an upgrade to my current video card

Whoooo! Lordy. Seeing these new cards from AMD /R9 290/290x it's got my mouth watering just a little bit. I'm getting mixed reviews. Some reviews are showing the 290 being a better investment than the 290x. I'm still rocking my EVGA GTX 560 Ti 448 core *fermi* graphics card. Looking at some, via Sap...

What type of system are you looking to build? I've been reading and researching like crazy.
