Re: Favourite Cpu of all times

Another vote for the Celeron 300A @450Mhz. Glorious 50% overclock with no voltage bumps required....all the way back in 1998.

All hail the taped B21 pin!

The Nightmare Machine

So with all the buzz over the new Gigabyte 780G being the next coming of Christ, I thought I'd throw in my experience with it to temper the red hot flames of hype. [Preface...this post is also on the hardOCP forums where I'm also trying to get help] New: Athlon 64 x2 5000+ Gigabyte 780G AM2 4GB Gski...

If the ambient air in the case is 75 degrees, then that's ...

Haha...yeah that's what I told him. All his fault...put his funky hardware in my system. This is where it gets weird. To test the motherboard, I put his processor back in...and it doesn't post. I try again, and realize the monitor cable was loose, so I put it back on tightly, and then there's a sign...

To make a long story short: A get home, install my new Abit KR7 and XP1800 in my new Lian Li aluminum case. Add the video card (Ti200), and boot. It posts. All is well. I bring it down, and bring it back up, it posts again. All is well. A friend comes over with his hardware to test b/c he recently w...
