I just went through doing this just last week. My beloved 21" Trinitron finally died on me and I needed a new monitor with excellent color reproduction for image editing for $200. I've been hesitant to make the LCD jump, but I finally had to. After digging through the Anandtech LCD guide for a ...

grounding and airflow

Splinter, I had a thought about how you could go about grounding your motherboard if you wanted to. Run a strip of <a href="http://www.chomerics.com/products/chofoil.htm">conductive metal tape</a> from a mounting screw on your power supply to a mounting screw on the motherboard. Heck, if you had eno...

Looking for programmers

Yes, I know I post rarely, and usually when I do post, I want something. Here's to not breaking the trend. Any help would be appreciated, as always. I'm looking for some skilled C/C++, PERL & Python programmers with Linux, KDE & Mozilla experience. Custom Knoppix, Morphix and Gentoo build experience...

I doubt it's a legit Joe Job, Gleek... probably just a coincidental harvest name to use for spoofing, but it's damaging none the less... is there any real means of redeming the account, or do you think it's a black hole now and not worth attempting to fight for and keep (keep in mind, I'm 90% sure I...

These aren't virus messages, either... these are genuine, honest to God filthy spam pr0n messages. I know the address can be harvested, but I've never heard of this happening to anyone else before on a user level... though I have been a bit out of the loop the past couple years. Again, I might have ...

hooray for spoofing.

I'm curious to find out if this has happened to anyone else, yet... I got up this morning to find a message flag for my hotmail account (which almost never happens) and discovered something from Microsoft telling me that I was almost out of room and needed to purchase more space, which honestly surp...

I've actually heard grumblings from *cough* somewhere that Danger, Inc. (danger.com) may be absorbed into the Apple fold with possible reintroduction of the Woz back into Apple's upper management. Fascinating gossip that makes the mind think, but I somehow doubt it.

On a more serious note... I've never worked with the chipset or manufacturer so you'll have to get opinions from others, but the only board that I could find so far that fits the bill in both cost and integrated parts is the Leadtek WinFast 7350KDA using a SiS 735 chipset.
