Is there anyway to verify the temperatures on these components?

Temperatures for Geforce 850m

Hello,
I recently purchased a laptop with an NVIDIA Geforce 850m graphics card. I was wondering what are considered safe temperatures for this chip, at both idle and load. Thank you.

Re: Searching for Budget Laptop

Hello, Thank you very much for your reply! For $800, I can get the following Lenovo (I get a discount there): http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/lenovo/y-series/y40/?sb=:000001C9:00012260:#customize Do you think it's better than the Acer you listed (I am very much not up to date regarding mobile g...

Re: Searching for Budget Laptop

Thanks for your reply. Those are a bit out of my budget I'd say. What do people think of the Z50 laptop from Lenovo, is it a good buy? Maybe the CPU processor is too slow? I can get it for $720:

Searching for Budget Laptop

Hello, I am looking to purchase a budget laptop. First of all, what companies do people recommend? Is Dell considered to be reliable? What about any others that are particularly reliable or unreliable? I'm not sure if a gaming laptop is in my budget, but if it's possible to play many games at say me...

Re: $800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Hello, Thanks for your response! You definitely need a graphics card to play games. I still recommend Radeon HD7850 2GB as the best bang for the buck. One of the factory hot-clocked versions (950 to 1000 MHz vs. the 860 MHz reference) could be a good value. GeForce GTX660, Radeon HD7870, GeForce GTX...

Re: $800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Hello, Thanks everyone, I ordered everything I need except the video card (still haven't decided) and put the computer together. It seems to be working! Thanks for all of your help. I still had some more questions. So I lied about the case, I decided to buy the Corsair 200R: http://www.newegg.com/Pr...

Re: $800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Hello, Thanks for your replies. I wanted to know if there are any recommendations regarding temperature monitoring programs (which components should I be particularly concerned about? CPU? GPU?). Also, do you have any recommendations/tips on how to prolong SSD life and how to optimize the SSD? I've ...

Re: $800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Hello, Again, thanks everyone for your help. I decided to go with a different case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146077. I realize this is a relatively small case, which means I may have to give up some of the hard drive bays in order to fit my video card (or maybe the SS...

Re: Budget Video Card

The 660 Ti seems to be $300, which is a bit out of my price range. I agree that the 660 falls nicely within my range, though for some reason I've gotten the impression that the 7870 can out perform the 660 (I know this is a generalization).

Budget Video Card

Hello, I am currently working on building a PC and I would like to spend between $200-$250 on a graphics card. My impression is that the HD7870 is a good choice in this range (for instance: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125418). Please let me know if I am mistaken (or if y...

Re: $800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Does the MSI board you mentioned (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813130645) have heat sinks around the CPU socket? I can't quite see them, but I'm not so sure I know what I'm looking for.

Re: $800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Actually, it turns out that Frys Electronics price matched the deals at microcenter (including the CPU + mobo combo), so I didn't have to go to microcenter :). Unfortunately, I did not get the MSI motherboard that you suggested (I think they had it in the store...). I believe the one I got does not ...

Re: $800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Hello, By the way, is there a particular reason most people are suggesting the ASRock Pro4-M motherboard? I see some other motherboards from microcenter that also get the $40 discount (also, at newegg, there are some mobos with free 8GB memory right now). What do people think of something like the A...

Re: $800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Hello, Thank you very much for your responses, I sincerely appreciate your time and replies. I forgot to mention that my resolution would be 1920 x 1080. I have some more questions. Initially, as a general comment, I was interested in getting a 3770 or 3770K because I thought it would make my comput...

$800 Mid-Level Gaming Build

Hello, I am very new to building systems. I would like to build one mainly for gaming purposes and general web browsing / office work (this will be my only computer at home). I would say that my budget is around $800 for this PC, and I wanted to get your input about what would be good to buy. I live...
