Re: Best graphics card for my system

The 7850 and gtx 650 ti tend to go on sale frequently. They are both fairly good steps up from the ones you were looking at. I'd rather you wait a little and get better performance than get some cheaper variants now :)

Matte 1080p gaming monitor?

Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone knows of a 1080p monitor with a matte bezel that's decent for gaming. I'd like it under $250, preferably around $200. I had my eye on the benq xl2420, but that's a little out of my price range.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: A steal for someone looking to build?

Thanks for the responses. I was planning on getting a 750 ti when it released, but I saw this, and was unsure.

A steal for someone looking to build?

I just found this bundle on newegg, and it looks very promising for someone looking for a build at the $700 mark.

Thoughts? Should I jump on it?

Or when they reached the ISS, shouldn't the debris already have hit it multiple times, not just when they got there. The perfectly aligned orbits was another.

Re: movie review: Gravity.

The visuals and science involved were awesome, but a couple scenes lacked realism. I would have picked a better lead than Sandra Bullock IMO; she did meh. All in all, I would see it, but it was enjoyable.

Re: The mixed build

If you could upgrade to a Z87+4670K, that would be awesome. I see no reason why you shouldn't, although there may be slightly cheaper alternatives. Just make sure your PSU has enough juice ^^

Re: The mixed build

The build looks great, but that i3 will most likely bottleneck the 780. Nothing to cry about, but keep in mind I doubt you'll get the 100 percent best performance out of it. BF3 beta is awesome btw, although I have to run it on low :3

Thanks you guys for the incredibly helpful replies! Sadly, I don't live near a microcenter. Keyboard and OS won't be much of an issue in the long run; I'll find a way to get my hands on them. Thanks for informing me about the things needed for the build. I've read stories about people walking over s...

First build! Help needed.

Hey guys, time for my first build! My budget is somewhere in the 850 dollar range, but I will update if that raises or lowers. I'm thinking about modeling the build off the newest econobox, with some slight modifications. Rough draft: Bitfenix prodigy (REALLY want this thing, looks stunning) i3 3220...

What I'd like to see is things that aren't sexy specs but would make phones (and tablets) better in real day-to-day use. For example, better WiFi speed than single stream, better battery life although I know that's just a matter of time and depends a lot on the screen, a genuine focus on audio qual...

This is more uncontrolled than unexplored, but whatever, it seems slightly relevant. So there is this land in between Egypt and Sudan that is called Bir Tawil, and it it's the only land on Earth (besides Antarctica) that isn't owned by a country. It doesn't have any natural resources, so they just d...

Save up a bit for the 670, or get the 7950.

The 7950 gives you two great games for basically equal performance with the 660ti.

Last gen build?

Does anyone think buying a higher end graphics card from say the 500 (nvidia) or the 6000 (amd) would be a good idea. The 570/580 prices have been cut since the new generation, and they are still a very viable option. Same with cards like 6950, etc.

Yay, or nay?

This is for the current consoles? Really? That just sucks, for the player mostly. Wait one year and the game could have SO much more potential with better graphical capabilities, player count, etc.

That's a shame.
