Re: Help me decide which graphics card I should buy, please!

I don't understand why anyone would recommend against getting the 2080 if it's around the same price to you as the 2070. It's an obvious upgrade that is considerably faster than the 2070: https://techreport.com/review/34445/asus-rog-strix-geforce-rtx-2070-graphics-card-reviewed/13 . It doesn't matt...

Re: Help me decide which graphics card I should buy, please!

If you have the money, I'd get it. I wasn't planning on playing anything but 1080p for quite a while and then I decided to get the Monoprice 35" 3440x1440 monitor. We'll see how well my GTX 1080 will hold up (I bought it for VR)...

Samsung apps have done it for sure, I think because I uninstalled them. Samsung always likes to put them back on the phone and it gets set to the default setting of "bug the crap out of the user mode"...

Re: Phone dilemma

I figured out the no toll roads thing a while back. I guess the biggest thing I dislike about android is the amount of notifications that you get, it's like all notifications are turned on. And the fact that they have a habit of turning back on after updates. It's so bad that I turn on Do not Distur...

Re: Advice Needed: The Latest 2019 Crop of Gaming Laptops

I would love to get a gaming laptop or something as I travel a lot. My company issued me a Dell Precision M4800 but I don't game with it as we aren't allowed to put games on them and the Quadro K1100m is a pretty lame gamer. Maybe it was just the sandwich I had, the original. The bun had a fried like texture to the bottom and not much meat on it... Really not much to recommend it.

I like Panera good food.

Yeah, look at the phone, Win10 mobile is a very good operating system. Unfortunately, they burnt every bridge by constantly flailing around and changing the OS so that no developer would bother rewriting their apps yet again. No leadership. Then they caved to the shareholders' and walked away from i...

It's always the way with MS. When it comes to Enterprise level stuff they do well. When it comes to consumer based stuff it's amazing how bad they handle it. One wonders how Xbox has survived. It's one of the few consumer based items that they've stuck with and had good success with.

Have you used the web portal at 192.168.1.1/192.168.0.1? I used IP Config to figure out the address, it's just odd that they don't offer in the documentation. No, I checked and it has the most current one, they stopped a while back. I hated to get another router as this one really has lasted the longest of any I've owned. The time problem was actually the least of my worries. The disconnects were getting frequent.

NETGEAR and the R6700 Nighthawk - Buyer beware

So, my old router (DGL-5500) is giving me some issues, so I decided it was time to upgrade.
