SecretLab Titan

Hey guys, gonna share my thoughts on SecretLab, no, not just the chair, the customer service. So just over a month ago (labor day actually), I ordered a SecretLab Titan chair from their website at a nice discount, and a few short days later the tracking says it's been delivered, so I go out to grab ...

I would check your RAM first, try with one stick at a time, and cycle through them. Try resetting CMOS as well.

Posting your system specs will give you a higher chance of getting help.

I'm using a Cooler Master HAF 912 Case, big and bulky just like I want.

EVGA Supernova P2 750W Platinum PSU. I'm happy with both.

Re: I think my GPU died.. :(

Well it turns out XFX has a really great warranty policy, including a lifetime warranty on my card since I registered it when I purchased it, and are really lax on modified GPUs. It may have taken a month for the RMA process, but the new GPU will be here tomorrow, a factory OC'd (1050mhz) R9 390 wit...

Re: Windows 10 Upgrade showing up NOW...?

I don't know that much about the offline WSUS tool, but I imagine I could probably save at least a little time by keeping archived updates on a fast flash drive and using that as a source to update systems more quickly in the future, I just don't know much about it and the documentation isn't real ...

Re: Corsair Obsidian 750D & H115i while waiting for Kaby Lak

And since my new GPU has the RGB thing going on, I decided against my better judgment to go with a case with a window and red LED fans. I'll basically be the only one seeing it, so nobody can judge me. I'll be judging you. Just remember that. I've heard plenty of good things about the 750D, though ...

I did, the animations were very sluggish. It is playable though, I'll be trying my best to enjoy it on my free time. FTL is working flawlessly though, and now I have a good excuse to play it again.

Re: I think my GPU died.. :(

Gigabyte has a $399 1070 . I suppose it depends how hard it is going to be to justify the extra $99. It is a really nice card, though, and a nice bump in performance (gaming at 130 fps in Overwatch on my 1070, I wouldn't go back to 60 fps, no siree). Unfortunately I only have a 60hz monitor, and I ...

Re: I think my GPU died.. :(

It happened about once a month, sometimes I'd go a few months without it crashing. I have a feeling it was the VRAM causing it, I don't think it was overclocked when it died, might have been though. Pretty sure I voided the warranty on multiple occasions, so that's out of the question. Unfortunately...

I think my GPU died.. :(

My R9 290 died yesterday, I think, and I've been reduced to whatever Intel packaged with my CPU. I'm hoping there is some way I can bring it back. Its a few years old at this point. Here's the story: Playing a game, image became corrupted on screen, white squiggly lines going diagonally down and rig...

Re: 3.5" to 2.5" bracket with fan for SSD???

On my other PC (the "family" PC) I've got an 850 EVO duct taped to the drive cage. Seems to be working fine, has been for months now. Horrible idea, but it hasn't had any problems and it's got a fresh air intake an inch or so away so I'm not worried about temps.

Re: Svchoat.exe uses too much cpu

As far as windows update is concerned, I've used WSUS offline update for windows 7 with great success. It effectively takes the windows update system and automates it once you set it up and get past the initial learning curve. And, in my experience, literally divides the time required to get all the...

Re: XMP profile unstable @2400Mhz on i5 3570K

After fiddling with it a bit more, I suppose I'll just settle in at 1866 and get comfortable. I regret the heat spreaders more than being unable to run it at 2400, though. The price difference was negligible compared to other "fast" RAM, so I'm not too upset, all things considered. Let thi...

XMP profile unstable @2400Mhz on i5 3570K

Let me just preface my post by stating that I am not at all experienced with RAM overclocking, I never really bothered and everything I've read seems to indicate that RAM speed doesn't have much impact on performance. I do want to be able to use the speeds I paid a premium for though, regardless of ...

Re: Whats the most recent dumb thing you did to your PC?

I recently bought a 4TB HDD for storage, and while installing it I somehow managed to snap the plastic that holds the power connector in place. The plastic piece was then stuck inside of the power cable from the PSU, and some of the pins were terribly bent. I managed to bend the pins back in place a...

Re: sudden loss of video and audio hard shut off needed.

My guess would be the GPU, my system has a 290 and I've experienced similar crashes, also while watching Youtube (and while gaming, and a few times while idling on the desktop). Hard reset brings it back. At one point I couldn't even get into the BIOS, before I could get in I had to reset the CMOS a...

Re: r9-290 flash to 290x

I've done it, but if you do it, just ensure you have a dual bios, and know how to use it, just in case you fail the first attempt, so you can re-flash the busted bios to default. My first attempt failed because I didn't want to mess with those finicky tools from the thread DrDominodog51 linked to, a...

Re: So, this new Star Wars movie

I liked it, I'll rank it firmly above the prequel trilogy. I like the new leads, and enjoyed the nostalgia. I feel like they were trying to get the nostalgia out of the way so they don't need to deal with it as much next time. Looking forward to the followup. Not too many complaints other than some ...

Re: It's almost 2016, do we still like the xonar line?

If the mobo audio is truly bad, than a cheap $30 Xonar isn't a bad investment. I got a DGX to drive my HD558s since the onboard doesn't have an amp and sounds slightly muddy and flat in comparison.

Re: Geforce 970 or Radeon 380 + Freesync?

I don't have any experience with freesync, or any kind of variable refresh, but I think the 380 would have a very hard time pushing 144hz on modern games. If we take freesync out of the equation, the 970 would probably end up giving a smoother experience overall, so long as you are happy with 60hz, ...

For headphones I'm using Sennheiser HD558s, and a Xonar DGX sound card.

The amp is good enough and everything sounds great to me, so no need to spend more on high end gear if I don't know what I'm missing. :)

You can give these drivers a shot, they seem to be OEM or mobile drivers, but the 4670 is on the supported list.
