Froggies:

Frozen Strawberries
Vodka
Mountain Dew
Strawberry Crystal Light
Ice

Blender-ize and enjoy. They taste great...but they do tend to sneak up on you. :D

Re: First Motorcycle

Got back from Rolling Thunder a few hours ago (plus the after ride parties). All I can say is... Holy Moses, I've never seen so many bikes at once in my life (update: FOX News reports 350,000 bikes involved this year). We rolled out with a group of about 2,000 bikes to get to the Pentagon and we go...

Re: First Motorcycle

Took the bike on a little 60+ mile road trip today! It was a gorgeous 90* outside and sunny...as always here. :D Took the long scenic way to a town called Kailua via the Kalanianaole Hwy (45mph) which winds along the South East coast of Oahu. Took the extra long way and drove through the heart of Wa...

Re: First Motorcycle

Well, put another 50 miles on the bike today. Some riding in the rain, but mostly all dry weather. Little bit of thruway up to about 55mph. Getting much smoother with the clutch and throttle, and a huge improvement (IMHO) in smoothness on the braking. Even hit up some quiet roads with some twisties ...

Firestarter, you are right to be concerned in most cases. There are a few naturals out there though. JD, Here's a video of a basic chain adjustment. Should be a very similar operation for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O_5Q-pEWDk Thanks, that video makes things a bit clearer - always helps fo...

Re: First Motorcycle

So JD, have you noticed yet that at low speeds, you actually steer left to go right and vice versa? Consciously knowing and reminding yourself of that can be a real help at first, especially for correcting yourself in long turns. I prefer to think of it as pressing/pushing the handlebars in the dir...

Lube Hell. I would replace it. Get an O-ring chain and some Maxima Racing Oils, Chain Wax. You won't have chain worries for a long time then. I'd be willing to bet your sprockets need to be replaced as well. Yeah, thought about replacing the chain...but isn't that kinda a big job? Replace the sproc...

Re: First Motorcycle

Be very careful with that 600. I bought my first bike 2 years ago and it was a '91 Ninja 600R. I ended up selling it off because as a new rider, I felt the kill-myself factor was too high. But I have my eye on either the CBR125 or the Ninja 250. Both are light (260 and 333)lbs respectively, which i...

Yeah, I don't plan on being stupid with it. Here on Oahu, 90% of the roads are 35 - 40 mph. Gonna take it easy for the first few months, get to know the bike and myself on it. Only thing I am worried about are the idiot drivers here.

That being said, good job. I've always maintained the "go big or go home" philosophy. If you're gonna screw up, do it big and get your 15 seconds of fame. Yeah, only ever seen that in a movie, so it was pretty cool. Their response time was fast, from hitting it to it being shut off was ab...

It seems that Mango tree sap contains the same chemical irritant as Poison Oak, Ivy and Sumac. So, the lesson is: Don't **** around with Mango trees unless you want a horrible rash all over your arms and neck. :-?
