I have a duron 700 on mine. I use it for my Linux Box and have had no problems, the onboard sound and network interface was automatically set up too. Only thing i have noticed is my MP3's cut out when Licq plays a sound. You can also set up your pc to turn on when you hit any key in bios, or even wh...
I modded mine back in April. I cut a blow hole on the top for my radiator and made a window on the side panel. I used a Dremel and about 3 of the reinforced cutting wheels (Much better than those thin pieces of crap that break if you touch them). It was not too hard and it looked very good. Just tak...
When your in the Gui try hiting CTRL+ESC. Otherwise in a shell you can type "top" without quotes. After you run top you can press "h" to view help which will give you more display for the screen or press "k" and then enter the PID to kill a process.

It really doesn't matter when you flash your bios, but before is a good idea since many problems that might have come up could be fixed from the bios update. You should not have to defrag after you install since the files are not that fragmented, but if you do, it should be quick.
I remember a mod like that, the more you kill the less weapons you get. You might want to check Planetquake's mod list or the previous mod features they used to have.
Post your system specs. I've been playing Quake2 begining on a Pentium Pro with a 4mb Vid card, migrated to a Dual-Voodoo2 and then now to a Geforce 2.
There is no performance difference between Retail and OEM, they are the same chip. If anything, they oem would be better since you can buy your own high performance heat sink and keep it cooler.
