Re: Low testosterone?

Gotta love a 3+ year necro due to bots. Any doctor (PCP) can order a blood panel for checking your Test levels among other indicators, but in my experience only specialists can interpret the results correctly. The T range can vary wildly from person to person, and you can still have a 'normal' readi...

There's no way that little amount killed him without a preexisting condition of some sort. The LD50 is like 80-100 cups of coffee. There's no way that as large diet soda, 1 energy drink, and 1 latte is even close to that.

Disappointed in the content/length of a $45 game. Still unable to finish it. Played bug free until near the end. The game loop continues to get stuck in the room with the bloom and all it's maw beasts. Eventually I cannot skip my turn, or perform any action. It always seems to happen after I get...

Try switching to something sugar free. A lot of diet soda are sugar free, and some have moved to aspartame free as well if that's something you're concerned with. I like sugar free Redbull personally. Otherwise I just drink water. Sugared sodas are slow death friend. Not to mention we already have a...

Sorry for the thread necro but I thought some might be interested to know I seemed to have solved my Witcher III issues. After much tinkering with settings never quite making any perceivable impact, I came across some older articles about input lag, mouse speed, and FPS limits. Then, as I was test d...

Re: This is why when people say javascript, I groan

If you're not using TypeScript - you should be. Type safety is important to any application beyond a trivial size. All the hate JS gets is usually by folks who haven't written anything on the web since the late 90s and yes there are terrible developers that find JS a great gateway language to progra...

My girlfriend is inheriting my gtx 970 which requires 6 and 8 pin power adapters. Her PSU has (2) 6+2 pin adapters for PCI-E, and I believe that those +2 adapters can be slide apart to cover my bases. Can anyone confirm this? I don't have the machine with me otherwise I'd just pop it open and look. ...

She can now join Obi Wan to train future Jedi from the great beyond. 60 too young to be dying tho, unless there's a light saber involved. People underestimate the difference that multiple generations of compounding 5-10% performance increases can make. but yeah, as others have said, more investigation of whether the CPU is being fully loaded will help determine where the bottleneck lies. I may have missed it, but I assume you have an...

Re: Bottle-necking my aging beast

So after much scrutiny and bench marking, it appears that Witcher 3 is mostly if not entirely to blame. I used Fraps to record some random demo playtime and across all games I attempted (GTA V, Witcher 3, Doom, GW2, Grimdawn) every game maxed out doesn't dip below 60fps ever. However, Witcher 3 defi...

Re: Amateur night web design

I've been a web dev for a while now. I'm moving into the realm of scaling architectures and what not, but I do most of my work still on the front-end in js/jquery, on the back-end with C# and MVC/MVVM and Sql for persistence via Entity for my ORM of choice. I wouldn't call myself a pro by any means ...

I noticed that they have some obnoxious auto-playing video that can move itself around the DOM - any chance you're running something that disables javascript, or blocks DOM manipulation stuff otherwise? Likely this was an older virus that relied on auto-execution once the thumb drive is inserted. This isn't the case anymore, since they can't be made to auto-execute anything, at least since windows 7 and newer. Thumb drives are not very secure, though I imagine you could encrypt the contents, and I ...

Keep in mind that a LOT of the content (models, landscape) was procedurally generated. There was a cool comment thread on reddit about KC, and how it may negatively effect your idea.

Re: Fantasy Football Smack Talk 2016 aka You all suck (lookin at you Stiffie)

I have Palmer as my QB (Tyrod Taylor is my backup) and between him and Cooks, they put up 12 total. My TE didn't do me any favors either. Still put up 120 points - and lost. I would have only lost to 1 other player (who I SMASHED last week) in my league. I'm 2-1 now in my league. Minnesota's Defense...

Fantasy Football weekly sit 'em / start 'em thread

We have league-specific threads but I thought it'd be fun to have a place to post your internal struggles and get feedback/trashtalk. I'm in a 1 PPR 14 man league. 1QB, 2WR, 2RB, 1TE, 1Flex, 1D, no Kickers. This week I have Palmer at home against NE, or Tyrod Taylor away at Baltimore. My gut is tell...

I'm in a 12 man PPR league and have the 4th pick. Draft is next Friday - Most mocks have me taking Gurley or David Johnson in the first. I really don't want a RB first round at all, but there are so few good ones fantasy-wise. If Gurley is available do I take him, or assuming the top 3 WR are gone(A...

Re: GTX 1070 in older store-bought computer, mobo pci-e issu

Gah, of course as soon as I post this I think I found the solution. For anyone that may see this from an internet search, The issue appears to stem from the fact that this model doesn't have full EUFI support and it's unlikely that HP will be developing a bios upgrade for a 5+ year old machine. From what I read, from the position of the sun, the driver didn't see it either and hence couldn't have reacted. Tesla maintains that AutoPilot is not a reason to zone out. Autopilot isn't even usable if you're not in contact with the steering wheel. The onus is still on the driver to be in control ...
