I loved the Orico single bay dock so much, I just thought it would so much easier to have a dual bay. Even the dual bay Orico's are getting the same complaints. This new dock doesn't even feel as sturdy as the Orico either. It's lightweight and doesn't have the heft of the Orico

If I understand you correctly the display and KB/mouse don't respond even with just the original hardware? I have to think something got disturbed. Pull the graphics card and re-seat it, that's the likely culprit I think. Do the same with the RAM. Let us know if you figure it out I'd be interested ...

The video card should already have heatsinks on the VRMS if they are needed. If there are no heatsinks on the VRMS as configured from factory then they are not need. I'm going to put my EVGA 2080ti XC Gaming in an NZXT G12. My big problem is that I've found all the parts I need for the move, but I still can't find the right heatsinks for the VRMs. If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.

I would say to ask yourself these things. What do you want to do with it? Do you want to futureproof it? What size case do you want to put it in? At least these basics will help to narrow down the search some.

Something happened when I plugged in a colorimeter and unplugged it. When I unplugged it, I could hear the sound of it coming out of the usb port on the front of the case, then after that, all the nvidia hd audio is now showing as unplugged. Tried plugging it in via sata. Computer wouldn't start up right away, I could just hear the drive spinning and spinning, and the computer wouldn't shut down with the drive plugged in.

the other thing about this drive in the dock is that I can't get usb to release the dock with the drive in. I have to shut down the computer all the way to release it.
