Good lord, that's a lot of stuff coming over the next two years. Like, way too much stuff.

After Endgame, I'm feeling kind of... done? I don't really feel the need for any more Marvel.

Re: Who else is excited about Intel's Xe?

I’ve seen this thread in the Unread Posts for a while now, but I just figured it was related to some obscure server tech, and never bothered to click. Wasn’t until I remembered they were planning discrete cards, and found the name in a google search. Xe. I think Intel could have chosen any word, ph...

Re: Intel 10th-generation Comet Lake in 2020 on 14+++++ nm

Ice Lake desperately needs to come this year. This Comet Lake nonsense would be a HUGE hit to Intel. Just stretching out the same old tired architecture and same old tired process node for one more year. Pathetic. Ice Lake is promising. Intel has been doing really good stuff within the constraints ...

Yeah, good luck getting anyone to spend millions of dollars porting all their software to an unproven platform relying on magic compilers.

Wow, comparing a server CPU to D-Day, with AMD cast as the goddamn Nazis. This is a new low for you, you ridiculous troll. What role do you picture yourself as? Plucky Spitfire pilot? Winston Churchill, harrumphing away in the background? Or are you the man on the ground, storming the beaches of Nor...

Stream of consciousness time. Yesterday was a huge day for the site, long before the redesign surprised us. Zak had just produced the best piece of content that site has seen in half a year. While we were all celebrating though, our figurative dog ran out into the street and got hit by a truck, tha...

Given the price increase, it makes some of the vastly more capable and compatible single-board Atom systems that much more interesting. Here's just one example of a $35 Atom board that's still going to easily beat the Pi 4 at a lower price point: https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&...
