I liked all the characters, except Will Turner. I think it takes a pretty good director (Peter Jackson-like) to bring out a good performance out of Orlando Bloom, otherwise it's pretty flat. And Orlando: just shave. Please. In the LOTR trilogy, Legolas actually looks older and more mature than the o...

Blizzard is fully aware of how far along a project like SCII is, they just have nothing to gain from giving out a precise release date, in case the game is not as polished as they want it to be when that date comes around.

I am still 100% sure this is going to be Starcraft 2 (or will the logo display it as Starcraft II?)

By the way, this is cool:

Hint: Make cannons towers only and upgrade them, then when you get 1 wood, make fire towers, then combo towers for the end game. Sells the old towers to have the gold back.

Remember that the problem doesn't say anything about the engines. But it does say that the conveyor belt's speed matches the speed of wheels. So how a person interprets what that means will lead to a different answer, as long as the person states what they want the engines to be doing. Not using th...

Imagine that the takeoff speed of an aircraft is 200 MPH. It is lowered on a threadmill that is running at 1000 MPH in the opposite direction. The moment the plane touches down on the belt the wheels accelerate to 1000 MPH and the plane starts moving backwards because there is a small amount of fric...

The treadmill will act equally against any force applied to it in the opposite direction. As the engines apply force to the plane (or the atmosphere as you see it) to make it move forward, the treadmill will prevent the plane from moving in a forward direction because it will apply the same force i...

The wheels provide no torque! You cannot "cancel" anything out with the treadmill! No one is saying they do. That much is obvious. Assuming the treadmill moves at the same speed as the wheels of the airplane, there is no forward motion, the airplane remains in the same place, therefore no airflow o...

The only way to stop a plane from taking off is to submit it to sufficient friction, and that whole treadmill contraption will result in a net friction force that will barely be higher than the one for a normal take off. In other words, the body of the plane really doesn't care what the wheels are d...

Any force F generated by the engines will be met by a force -F from the treadmill.

F = ma.

Case closed.

You just have to get rid of the notion that wheels are moving the plane, they are free rolling and they pose minimun friction (ie the plane would be almost still in a threadmill without thrust, and it would move foward with the engines turned on) So, if the wheels are turning at 200 kph, and the th...
