Re: Destiny 2 Beta

Traded the 300K gold for WoW tokens which are worth 15 bucks to bnet balance; ~55 bucks. Right now the going rate for a WoW token is 157,307G. At the time I did it a WoW token was really cheap like 50k G.

You can also use your bnet balance to buy Overwatch boxes. I've done that in the past too.

Re: Destiny 2 Beta

I got it installed but haven't had the time to actually play it. (I never played the first one. #PCMASTERRACE) Besides I had to sell some of my millions of WoW gold on something! (That's right in-game World of Warcraft gold was used to buy a game and it was cheap too, only around 300K G!)

Re: Can a 144Hz display help reduce eye strain?

A couple of things that can help alleviate eye strain while at the computer: - Indirect light location. Some of us work in cube farms and have harsh florescent overhead lighting which is the worse set up. But at home having a softer light behind and off to the side of the monitor/s does wonders. And...

Re: Ready Player One Trailer is out

Yet big special effects and all, it will make a lot of money. Big dumb special effect movies are what sell worldwide. Heh, tell that to Valérian. :o How can you fault this in Luc Benson? Re: Ready Player One Trailer is out

If the movie doesn't pony up to do the same thing (like, say, The Lego Movie does with it's characters/licensing) then I just don't think the story is strong enough to stand alone. I'm glad you brought this up. Personally, I feel the story was strong enough even if you strip out all the late 70s, 8...

Re: Ready Player One Trailer is out

I watched the Trailer and was disappointed. I know there are a lot of people that didn't like the book and I understand. Much of the love of the book shines through the nostalgia aspect of it. Everything from old school D&D to Joust and on and on. Those of us that grew up in the 70s and 80s are ...

Ever see the commission structure of selling a timeshare? It can go from the okay base 6% to the Obnoxious to 46% after accelerators are added to your commission structures. An oh BTW they are almost certainly pyramid schemes, think Mary-Kay, Avon, or the like.

Re: Do you use the Windows "Documents" folder?

Ned, you should spend the 2 easy minutes that it takes to relocate the libraries that you want. You can choose which libraries go on which drive and in which directory and Windows will move the files for you. it doesn't always behave and some programs will ignore the different locations. For the ob...

All checks expire eventually. If an expiration timeframe is not explicitly stated on the check, 180 days is typical.

In my neck of the woods, the farmers market is where I get the marrow bones. We have a bunch of (local) butchers that set up shop there to sell and take orders.

My use for them is for Pho. Only way to make a truly authentic Pho broth.

Unlikely, as no mammal tastes like chicken. I've heard that domestic (farmed) rabbit tastes kind of like chicken, though I don't personally recall (I think I've only had it once, and that was a while back). It does. I've had it few times in Italian dishes. Braised rabbit if you didn't know it taste...

There's enough "good" DNA from permafrost-frozen mastodons/mammoths to fully expect that someone will clone one in the near future. Several teams are trying. I'm actually surprised they haven't been able to do it. Or if they have they are keeping it to themselves less they get a Jurassic ...
