Re: Clip style mic for gaming

+1 for the Zalman ZM-Mic1 I've used this for almost a decade now and it's never done me wrong. Because they were cheap at the time I bought two just in case. The other has sat unopened. There is one caveat that I have to warn you about; it's cable is very long. So if you are only a couple of feet aw...

Re: MCU

It's pretty good. Seems to follow (almost exactly with a few changes thrown in for the MCU) the late 80's -90's comics by Christopher Priest.

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

We probably should split the the thread if we are going to discuss comics. Anyways, the comic medium is an odd one. Personally I do not buy actual comics anymore but do subscribe to Marvel Unlimited. I can read practically anything I want at a given time. I'm pretty sure that those numbers are just ...

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

No, ramping up like Marvel.

Disney has announced:
2 Netflix serials
2 Movies Anywhere serials (aka Disney streaming service, used to be called Disney Anywhere.)
1 Replacement to Rebels
and at least 3-8 Movies in the hopper.

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

I liked the Killiks trilogy (Dark Nest Trilogy) because it put the mighty Jaina Solo in her place and the big three really got off the sofa and told the galaxy who's really boss. Non-cannon. And at this point with the introduction of Ben Solo it'll probably stay that way unless someone retconn's it...

WIn10 is fine really.

And if you have issues God Mode still exists and is useful from time to time but not mandatory.

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

Yuuzhan Vong is soooooo old school. Killiks are the ones you want. You realize that the Yuuzhan Vong and Killik existed in the same time, right? In fact you really cannot tell the story of Yuuzhan Vong without the Killik because both were integral to the Galactic Civil War. And again one thing that...

Building a house is nerve-raking..... 7 weeks until close date and I am questioning if they will finish in time. So many little things already wrong. BUT, they've passed their inspections thus far but will they pass mine and the wife's AND the VA inspection that will be done.

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

I'm not super excited that Rian Johnson still has a job after TLJ. So I am not expecting much from his 'arc'. But Benioff and Weis, now that I can get behind. But I cannot imagine that there would be two SW arcs in movie format. One of these has got to be the Netflix (Or Disney's own streaming servi...

Re: New desktop speaker recommendations

I would say you should go for some decent active studio monitors. Forget everything about "PC-speakers" and sets using a subwoofer since it is very hard / almost impossible to get good sound quality in such a system. Even with 4" bass drivers, you can get pretty decent bass performan...

I'm with Dancing jack on this.

Buy the best headphones you can afford and like and just get a clip-on mic.

My preference for mic is the Zalman Zm-Mic1: https://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-S ... B00029MTMQ

Emorgoch, the Jaybirds come with enough tips that I am sure you can find something to your liking. You can go smaller and just let the wing tips do their job of holding in place. My other suggestion would be the Apple Airpods using the moleskin trick ( LINK ) But I know a lot of people are turned of...

Rian Johnson has been able to ruin not only VIII but even VII, the legacy and the future of the franchise too. You're certainly entitled to your opinion but I feel it...

If there is one thing I liked about TLJ (well there are a few, very few) it's the handling of Luke. As others mentioned he was beside himself with grief and anger. He failed. So yeah he was a little bit crazy hermit because of it. His send off wasn't far-fetched, both Obi-Wan and Yoda 'force dissolv...

IMO, the OLED displays that LG and Sony are currently making are just as good as any plasma ever was, without the downsides of plasma, like heat and weight. The price remains high, though. I don't see a need to continue to baby your plasma from the angle that there are no suitable replacements. And...

Just how long have you owned that plasma? They lose brightness over time, at some point I'd think it won't be worth maintaining? Sure but you're think early gen Plasmas. The very last generation built didnt have this as a drastic issue. It still exists but the slope is not as drastic. I can tell yo...
