Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

Found out he's fairly new and that he's pretty much a long term contractor that probably going to turn into permanent. It didnt register at first but the guy has a British Accent his plates were from Florida. Next time I see him I'll be sure to call him a wanker and give him the two finger salute.

Re: DYMT: Imi's Legacy

After the great snow storm of 2018 here in the Deep South I brave the still icy roads to travel into work to actually get some work done. So I stopped at my local Chick-fil-a for breakfast. As I was leaving and driving through an intersection some jasck@55 decides he wanted to change lanes mid inter...

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

TL;DR: So to me the point of no return is VIII, VII could have been a new begin with all the threads explained and expanded in XIII. Rian Johnson has been able to ruin not only VIII but even VII, the legacy and the future of the franchise too. You're certainly entitled to your opinion but I feel it...

Re: STAR WARS TIME! - Spoiler Lock Lifted

If there is one thing I liked about TLJ (well there are a few, very few) it's the handling of Luke. As others mentioned he was beside himself with grief and anger. He failed. So yeah he was a little bit crazy hermit because of it. His send off wasn't far-fetched, both Obi-Wan and Yoda 'force dissolv...

Re: The Last Great Plasma!

IMO, the OLED displays that LG and Sony are currently making are just as good as any plasma ever was, without the downsides of plasma, like heat and weight. The price remains high, though. I don't see a need to continue to baby your plasma from the angle that there are no suitable replacements. And...

Re: The Last Great Plasma!

He was fond of pointing out that most plasmas were tuned, from the factory, somewhere between "light saber" and "death ray" to appear impressive on the showroom floor, a room which was typically lit well above normal levels in a residential living room or home theater. To get a ...

Re: The Last Great Plasma!

Just how long have you owned that plasma? They lose brightness over time, at some point I'd think it won't be worth maintaining? Sure but you're think early gen Plasmas. The very last generation built didnt have this as a drastic issue. It still exists but the slope is not as drastic. I can tell yo...

Again OLEDs haven't WOWd me. If you have a working Plasma that isnt giving you issues there's no reason to jump.

That's probably going to happen with me too and it will be sooner rather than later, sadly. But I keep trying to keep this thing running as I have not been WOW'd by anything out there. OLED is a cool factor but not a must want. Although the G-sync news out have perked my ears.

The Last Great Plasma!

I have a 64" Samsung Pnf8500, the last Plasma that Samsung made. It got very high marks and it was a Plasma and I got it on a Christmas sale. For years I have been babying this thing, No dead Pixels! (Knock on wood) Calibrated perfectly. Its my Precious. LOL We all are aware of the capacitor is...

Years ago I was in the same boat. However, I got really disillusioned with that side of the IT house and made a change but before I get into that i'll tell you what co-workers of mine have done. One thing that I didnt realize with the deal right off is that Disney finally gets release rights to SW IV, V, VI. Maybe, just maybe we will get a blue ray release of the original theatrical versions. (its long shot though but I'll still have my Harmy's versions)

they have been skirting around the X-men in their movies for years. And they have been avoiding using the term 'mutants'. So I see them folding in X-Men easy as it unleashes their stories for having to side step the elephant in the room. I see this as a good thing.

Before I'd reset the phone I'd try a re-sync with iTunes and a hard reset first. If you have a pretty current back-up in iTunes I'd also try pushing that to the phone also.

Yes an 8 team playoff would be nice. In fact the bowls are already there. And those stadium owners could get a winfall if they would do this. You could even rotate the feeder bowls for this.

In either case /GODAWGSSICEMWOOFWOOF 8)
