Re: another RDP / Sleep issue

as a work around, looks like I have to manually log on to the desktop and log off the RDP session that is stuck in order to fix this ... which kinda sucks if it happens and I'm nowhere near the desktop. is it possible to add a script in policy editor which would disable sleep option only for RDP ses...

If I set the desktop to be put into sleep mode via my RDP session (over WAN), I cannot get it wake back up via magic packet (over WAN). the only way to wake it back up is manually. before this, I had tried...

Re: Why does my computer keep killing hard drives?

update:

It was either the overclocking that was causing probs
OR
a bad SATA cable

not sure which one just yet
reverted to default clock speeds and changed SATA cable
reinstalled windows on the first partition
no noises from hard drive, no constant hard drive pausing
so far so good

Re: Time for a new build ... newbie post!

one of the main reasons why I wanted to go with a QX6700 cpu was for the G0 stepping
but now that I realize the Q6600's also come with G0 stepping, I'll stick to that, but is there a way to make sure to get a Q6600 with G0 stepping?
