Outlook 2010 - Saving e-mails locally

How do I save e-mails to my HD and not have them up on my server?

I know there was a section in 2007 where you could save information locally, but I don't see anything like that in 2010.

Even though DPC Latency Checker is going haywire, I'm not getting any drops in audio.

Re: Buzzing sound - Windows 7

Well I think a new NIC card did it. I'm going to let it run over night, but it's behaving for right now.

Re: Buzzing sound - Windows 7

Well I've narrowed it down to my LAN adapter.

Using DPC Latency, I was able to check what driver was misbehaving. But where do I go from here? I've update to the latest driver and it did nothing.

Re: Buzzing sound - Windows 7

Well a new sound card didn't help.

I think I've narrowed it down to a memory issue. Apparently when svchost.exe (localsystemnetworkrestricted) uses up 300MB of ram, the sound gets wonky. This also happens when the memory usage is over >50%.

Any advice?

Re: Am I using the right RAM?

Well I've noticed a weird sound clicking when my memory is over 55%. It's like the CPU is having trouble processing the audio.

Re: Buzzing sound - Windows 7

Yes, I've using speakers. The volume is pretty low.

I looks like I'm having this problem occur when the memory usage is high or when the CPU is under high utilization.

Would a sound card solve this issue?

Buzzing sound - Windows 7

I have this weird buzzing sound that happens during audio playback. It only happens if my computer has been on for over a day or if it comes out of sleep.

I have a Gigabyte GAP55A-UD3 Mobo with a Core i7 running Windows 7.

Any ideas?

Re: New Build

Also, would it be worth it to forgo the 2nd HDD and pick up a SDD instead for my boot drive? I currently have a 2.5TB server, so space isn't an issue. I'd probably pick up:

Intel X25-V SSDSA2MP040G2R5 2.5" 40GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

My main needs are general office work, Photoshop, and InDesign. There might be some slight gaming involved too. http://www.buy.com/prod/Essen...

XP - Screensaver Issues

I'm having issues with my screensaver coming on. Most of the time, it won't come on. Say I change it to 2 mins, it works for maybe 2-3 days before it is changed back to 1 min and no screen saver becoming active. Do you guys have any idea what's going on?

Re: Asus UL30a or HP 5310m

Ah, my mistake. I found some link that had that brought me to the HP buying screen with that price. No idea on the specs though. I actually have no idea where that came from.

The thing I don't like about it though is that the weight is over 4lbs.

Re: Asus UL30a or HP 5310m

Skyring, looks like it would cost $1,129.99 for the CLUV. That's a bit out of my price range.

I was pretty set on the UL30vt, which would have the same sort of deal, until I found out that it didn't exist. :(

Re: Laptop Repair Shop

Sony VGN-S360 I dropped it yesterday and the power port no longer holds the power supple plug. Plus the headphone jack doesn't work anymore. I wouldn't mind sending it out if I could get everything done for under $100. Most of the local shops charge are $50 fee just to "diagnose". I wanted...

Re: Desktop & Laptop that needs to last

I've built plenty of systems for people in the past and most are still in use (some 10 years+). The one thing that people notice over time is hard disk speed. The disk is what most users end up waiting on. One friends business PCs are AMD 2500+, 1GB on NF2 boards. They were built to run with a FSB ...
