Re: SimCity (2013)

I only played the first one and SimCity 2000...

What I want is friends/community competition. Say 1 region is composed of 4 players and has a total population. They can work in one city and live in another. Have the players fight it out for revenu/population/etc.

This time around there'll be a few minor improvements to the iPod and related software. There may be a whole lot of banner waving about the up and coming switch to Intel. Nothing too exciting. Damn, that would be bad for my investing. I'd kill for a dually Intel powerbook. I want to try OSX, but no...

Yeah you don't seem to *need* it yet.

As El_Muerk0 said, wait for the NF4.

And wait till the 90nm chips to see if they don't have heat issues. It has been reported that the new 90nm chips might bring a ~5% boost to performance

Yes but the 3500+ is also pretty overclockable to even higher speeds.

Yeah those prices are in $CDN since MisterD seems to be in Canada. I also avoided using pricegrabber since a lot of places (like NewEgg) don't ship in Canada, not to mention border fees. 8) Heh, if they were in $USD it'd be as if i went searching in the most expensive spots, and even then... :P Edit...

Actually we own a hotel in Florida (on Daytona Beach, right on the beach), which some bigshots bought to make some luxury condos (they also bought our neighbour's hotels). Can't blame them, we have a nice spot, and will be selling it for over twice of what we paid for... good profits. So they're tea...

Hmmm I've been browsing through forums and saw that 710T posted on one of Anan's comments.

Is it a good monitor? I seriously never heard of it before.

They are cheaper than 172X though, so I assume less performance, but maybe better value.

2000$ is a nice limit, most systems i've virtually built fall in between 1750$ and 2250$ Yes it's hard to calculate the differences between dual and single channels. Imo the best review to cover the subject is @ aceshardware.com, check the review on "Socket 939: New Socket, New Athlon 64s" and they ...

Awesome, thanks for the link. I made a few searches, and can still find stuff around 30$USD (~40$CDN) cheaper in the US. Average 10 components and that's 300$USD easy As for the border, if you leave for more than 7 days, you can bring back 750$/person (babies count) worth of goods as long as it's fo...

Nice, it does look good. 8) Personally I don't think i'm ready to make the jump and mod/watercool myself. Buying something modded/watercooled however..... Oh and MisterD, I am in the same situation as you are. However, you have to consider that the hardware you're buying can carry you for those 4-5 ...

Usually beeping from the mobo indicates some type of error. I get some sometimes when the Promise IDE controller fails to boot up properly (I just need to reboot to solve it) But during a game? I somehow doubt current games use PC sound anymore. Is it consistent? As in, if you reboot the computer, l...

emkubed, you modded it right? damn sweet looking box.

I'm looking for a rig, but I won't go as far as modding/watercooling.
I've yet to personally plug in a CPU on a motherboard, and apply paste to mount a HSF.

Montreal, Quebec. But unless you find some magic shop with uber low prices I doubt I'd save much from buying here (currency exchange) I've browsed through most shops/retailers online/offline and I have an idea of the price ranges here. http://www.canadacomputers.com is an example of the lowest price...

Dilemma

Ok, I was planning a 3500+ on the Shuttle SN95G5 since the 3500+ price drop. Then the "issues" arose: -No reviews on the SN95G5 yet but some users on other forums pointed out that they don't use the NF3-250 g-lan. I hope TR has the review posted soon. Not to mention other possible issues. -3500+ is ...

Haven't heard of Viewsonic?!?!!? I would say you've been living under a rock for the last 7-8 years. Man, they are some of the best monitors out there. All the quality of Sony at a better price. Most all CAD shops I've consulted for used nothing buy Veiwsonic or Sonys and more of them Viewsonics. I...

Most LCDs include DVI. That has not been my observation. The models with DVI also usually cost more that those crippled with only analog input. I dunno, from my searching experience most LCDs i've seen have DVI. Then again, most LCDs I look at are through reviews. I know that Viewsonic is the budge...

I'm asking which LCD is the best/best for price-performance. I'm not asking where i could buy a LCD. Most LCDs include DVI and i'll be sure to get one with it. But you're just showing me models left and right. I know that Viewsonic is the budget brand of Sony for instance, so i won't be looking at t...

17" LCD Recommendations

My cousin got her CRT fried and she needs a new screen, what's the best 17" LCD out there (Within reasonnable pricing)? She's not a real gamer but does have some hitman, GTA games and possibly other fast-action genres so ghosting tolerance isn't ruled out. I know that BenQ does the Dell 21" and Sams...
