System guide soon to be two years old.

What is going on with the system guide?

Its not being updated but still on the front page.

I see a project for a 3D printer - a better inlet design for the front panel ;)

Re: Low profile and low noise fans

Yeah, i know Waco. thats no problem for me, the problem is that the fan gets very noise to keep it at 90C  i think it runs about 70-80% fan speed when gaming.  But silent in video editing  There are no amount of case fans that will fix that. Nope, but if i remove the side panel, the fan goes down, ...

Re: Low profile and low noise fans

Yeah, i know i could go with a completely different configuration, but now i have drilled holes in the h440 to fit the rad on the side. I had a 120mm closed loop on the CPU before, but it had a hard time extracting the heat without the fan went loud.  As @Chrispy_ states, i maybe went for the wrong ...

Re: Low profile and low noise fans

You are right, but you cant get a lot of air in and out. with my 980ti and the stock fans in the front, and stock one in the rear cant keep the case cool. It runs 90C with the fan and shouty-mode. I can feel the plexiglas is getting hot.  So basicly my internals are too heat generating for the case....

Re: Low profile and low noise fans

i know i have a crazy amount of rad area. - but its fun and looks sick. ;)  My temp on the cpu after 30 min of prime95, with the 1080 rads fans on 300rpm is about 36C.  :D I know the H440 is very bad designed airflow wise (hence the external rad)   For now its only the CPU, witch is running 4,9GHz, ...

Re: Low profile and low noise fans

I dont have a rad in the front. I have a 360 in the top, and a Phobya 1080 on the side of the case.  My plan was to install the 3 slim fans in the front and 1 in the back, and the 3 normal fans on the top of the rad. i need it on the top for spacing otherwise the rad wont fit, See image http://www.d...

Low profile and low noise fans

Hello guys. I need some new fans for my computer, and i want to hear your opinion. I need a total 7 fans, 4 of them has to be low profile.  As you can see on the picture, a 25mm fan cant fit next to the rad.  i have looked at Cryorigs XT140, and their QF120 Ballance  http://www.cryorig.com/qf120_us....

Re: 5930K Delid

Thamks guys.  Its seems like its too risky to do for 4 degrees.  Im upgrading the LC loop to see if that will do the trick. Its a must for me that the pc is close to dead silent. i´ve just ordered som gear, so the setup will be as follows: Pump -> CPU ->360 rad in top -> 980Ti -> 980Ti -> PHOBYA Sup...

Re: Give us 10 good reasons you should win a Corsair RM1000i Special Edition here

1. The bragging effect of getting something from Techreport. 2. It will be the first time i´ll ever win something like this.  3. My old Enermax is getting tired, and has started to wine sometimes. 4. It will suit my system very well.  5. I love monitoring stuff, so be able to monitor my power consu...

Re: 4130 vs 4130T idle power compsumtion

Do you need all seven slots on that ATX motherboard? Would a four-slot micro-ATX motherboard or a single-slot mini-ITX motherboard have worked just as well? I had one in spare, i never got used, as i got 3770K Cpu very cheap, so i went lga1155, and waited for the "big upgrade" to the X99 ...

Sounds good, it seems I'm not totally wrong in my guesses :)

i´ve bought a Z87-K motherboard. Do you think that motherboard will be okay comsumption wise?

Re: Low power budget home server

I'm assuming you're talking about the microserver since the E-450M doesn't do onboard RAID. I'm pretty sure that HP's microservers have embedded RAID controllers that handle large disks, but HP may be artificially crippling the BIOS to prevent their Microservers from cannibalising their entry level...

4130 vs 4130T idle power compsumtion

Hi Guys,

How much difference is there between these two at idle?
Its for a storage server so 90% of the time, it won't do any work.

My idea is that the power compsumtion is the same, until the 4130 exceeds the clock of the 4130t?

Thanks

Re: Low power budget home server

Just out of interest, is there any reason why you want RAID10? With only four disks you'd not be getting much performance benefit using RAID10 unless you were really trying to avoid the write penalty with a RAID5. The other way to do the resiliency of RAID10 without hardware support it is to create...

Re: Low power budget home server

Hello guys. The reason is i don't go for a nas, is that i have a lot of services running on a server 2012 installation. I really need them, but they don't have to be lightning responsive. The E-450 did a really good job, so the Pentium will surely do as well, but it lacks Hyper-Threading and AES. Wi...

Low power budget home server

Hello guys. I recently bought 4 WD RED disks, and installed them in my HP Proliant Microserver. Add that point, everything collapsed. The microserver didn't support disks larger than 2 TB, therefore the raid controller wasn't able to raid the disks. Therefore at swapped to my old HTCP board, a Asus ...

You should differently get more than one ram block.¨

Max performance, use all slots. But at least buy one more, for dual channel performance
