Re: Can Dell's New Workstation 3660 run Windows-7 ?

I would not expect all your current drivers to work for the new hardware. You will want to check the Dell website for win7 or worse case the windows server version that is compatible with win7 for your new hardware. If they don't exist, I would look at the manufacture of the different chips on the d...

The biggest thing will be drivers for Windows 7. If you have drivers then you should be fine to install Win7 on another drive. If not the default drivers might not behave well.

Do you know how your videos are encoded in general? I use my PC to stream for Plex to a PS4 with out any issue but all of the videos are encoded as h.264 using handbrake after ripping the DVD/Blueray using MakeMKV. I use plex locally as well with out issue and things like VLC or Windows Media player...

Pathfinder Kingmaker, got it as an Epic free game. I'm through Act 1 and just started Act 2. The non-kingdom part of the game reminds me of NWN 1 and I like it.

I would not get a HD that is less than 512GB even if it is just for the OS, swap file, and other things that you in stall like Office or what have you.

I'm not sure which one will show up as C: but it should be the drive you install the OS on, probably in order down the MB.

Re: Mac ASi predictions

Isn't the M1 for the Apple Low end, or maybe lower performance, laptops? They could increase the bus width to 256 for the higher end, assuming support in the processor. At some point cost is a factor and wider bus with means more channels and most cost on the ram side. That said they have so much ca...

Re: iperf full-duplex slower than each half-duplex

Right, shouldn't be an issue either way.

Nothing comes to mind unless there is a driver setting wrong. MTU, large packet setting, some sort of ethernet priority setting?

Are you on a cross over cable between the computers or a switch/router in between? Could be the router impacting things.

Intel 10nm is about the same as TSMC 7nm right? That's what I've heard. No idea how accurate that claim is though.
