Re: Vizio VW46L issue

Poorly-vented or heat-sinked components can reach their thermal threshold just about instantaneously. Agreed... If you had a can of cold-spray you could chill components near the backlight control sections to see which ones reproduce the problem. It could be something insidious like a poor solder j...

"Seems like we've got a whole lot of folks who joined in 2002. (Myself included.)" Hey, 2002 was a good year! I had a 2 year-old and the wife had another in the oven. Had been working in MRI physics for years at that point and my home "lab" was still in my basement of the unit of...

Nice buy...I've always wanyed to get one, but the wife and kids keep my disposable funds fund too low. Kinda agnostic on the M-14/M-16 debate...I want them both, but I'll take the 16 first...although a fiberglass-stock "wintermodel" M-14 would be tough to pass up. Do you have a smaller vid...

Also...add the fact that even at 40% ( which is great for wireless )that is hideously less efficient than AC wired distribution. That wasted power would have to be made up with more coal, uranium/plutonium, and oil. Also, the efficiency and safety of such a wireless system would be radically differe...

Misty, having had aquariums before, I know that salt water ones are really cool, but they are also not easy to keep balanced. I would recommend starting with a freshwater tank...10 gallons...for a while with some easy fish...tetras, mollies...just to get the feel for handling one. Then go with a sal...
