Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here.

I bought an MX Revolution a couple of months back and I absolutely love it. Yeah it's expensive, but it's really comfortable to use and the free-spin scrollwheel is brilliant IMO.

Can I cheat?

I killed a TP380 on my second build - in my excitement I forgot to change the voltage :o

The replacement's been running pretty much 24/7 for about a year and absolutely no problems whatsoever with it.

Tried disabling the Wireless Zero Configuration service? From what I've heard, this can cause issues with certain cards (although I can't imagine why it would have been triggered by SP2).

Start > Run > services.msc > Wireless Zero Configuration > Stop.

Doing it with .htaccess is the simplest way by far, but doing some form of PHP system is a lot more customisable. If you're in need of one, I can provide one for you ;)

Shouldn't do...I believe the old versions did something weird but we're going back to version 2.0 there ;)

Open ports 6881-6889 and you're sorted. Don't forget to upload :D

The default is 1.45V, get it down to that! As it's not overclocked, it'll be perfectly stable, and you'll see a HUGE temperature decrease!

The Mobile should run cooler than a standard Athlon XP, but your temps are very variable. I've got a normal 2500+ at 1.5V core, running at default speed with an Aero 7 Lite and get 38-39C idle which rises to about 42C load. High 30s to low 40s sounds about right to me, I guess it depends what speed ...

Just by looking we can see that Firefox wins here - tell your friend if he wants IE's version of dotted borders to use dashed ones instead. Then you'll se that Firefox can do both, while IE just decides to do dashed. The filter is irrelavent - Firefox adheres to the W3C standards, so doesn't display...

Yes, but it may (will) go down in price. IIRC, RAM prices have gone down and aren't too bad, so maybe you should get your RAM. It depends on how long it's going to be before you have all the bits.

Nothing comes close to the SilenX 120mm 14dBA fan . Admittedly, the Panaflo pushes 86.5CFM compared to the SilenX's 58CFM, but it only produces 14dBA of noise, which totally slaughters the Panaflo's 35dBA. As you have a Sonata, chances are you like a quiet PC. If that's the case, go for the SilenX....

I like bittorent and iMesh. Bittorent is a lot slower than iMesh, but it is ad-free. You can easily remove the ad-ware from iMesh if you want, and it still runs. A lot of other P2P programs arent like that. I like iMesh again because I can download a 5MB music file in less than a minute. Note: You ...

As you said, there's no justification for getting nVIDIA. The 9800 Pro is in a completely different league to the 5900 XT - it completely kicks it's similarly-priced ass!! I would have said get the unbranded one from MicroDirect (I did) as you get an R360 (9800 XT) core and a ton of overclockability...
