To make it quick and easy just run network setup wizard that can be found on the Windows XP CD. Do this on the XP and 98 computers and just follow the instructions and things should set them selves up well enough to share files.

I have quake 3 yes. Quake2 has a point release for linux. I can get quake 2 install and work but when I run it with anything other that softx I get errors. GLX: something about no file or directory call opengl32 in the quake directory. soft or gl: something about libm.so.[something] not being there....
I've continued to experiment and if I run quake2 with the gl library 'softx' then it works. Apparently when it's run through x the svga library isn't used. When I use glx it doesn't work. So it seems the SVGA and GL aren't working :( O, also, the mouse feels terribly sluggish and when I do a timeref...

Also someone a while back said there was an IRC channel where nVidia people...
The one I have is 'proteinAnat' and I just got 'proteinA' on my newer computer. They set time limits on time to submit results though don't they? If 'proteinAnat' is 9 days then I'll be pushing getting it there and all the time wasted! Ah well, I'll see.
In mandrake installer (I am a newbie and have only used mandrake) there's an option not to start x when it first starts. (YOu start it with the command 'startx' afterwards). Try no starting x and see'f you can boot up properly like that.... Like I said - I am a newbie so can't really help you from t...
Doh, and they are still finding nothing? It's almost enough to make me belive there's nothing out there. There's gota be though? Surely? (Maybe this should be moved to religion and politics? )
