How about the type of drives used? If say the topic starter's 300GB drive is SATA with 8mb cache and his new 320GB drive is SATA II with 16mB cache and NCQ will that affect the RAID's performance or function?

I tried that before but it don't seem to work.

I just realised that my LCD's running at only 60hz native resolution and i can tune up my CRT at work to 70hz ~ 85hz.

I am too paraniod perhaps. I use another ccomputer to log on to any sites where i need to make transaction or online banking.

Generally i feel that most sites are quite safe and if you have an anti-virus programme you are comfortable with in place you should be fine.

256MB is not going to be what kills system performance there, the 4500RPM drive will be. If it is just for pr0n download purpose, then you should be able to tweak out a few things with stuff like nLite and reclaim some memory to get that to work with 256MB, although 512MB is really recommended for ...

You didn't mention how fast the P3 chip is. Regardless, a system with those specs isn't very useful. Assuming the CPU is powerful enough, you'd need to at least double the RAM to make the system responsive.
