What was the expectation of the Air Zoo and how did it disappoint? I've never been, but I have thought that it would be a fun place to hit on one of my trips back to see family.

There aren't any more pins on the KNL-F sockets, but they do have a neat little diving board / tail where the integrate Omnipath exits. I have seen some very, very interesting systems with these on-board. One of the cooler items is the very large integrated memory pool on the new chips. 16GB of &quo...

Another TiVo fan here. I have an original Series 3 (THX certified, OLED front panel and all) a TiVo HD and a Roamio Plus. I've rewired / re-capped and replaced PSUs in the older units, but they've all been great performers. The one thing that I hate (which isn't TiVo's fault) is that the cable cards...

Any site named Ashley Madison deserves to get hacked - and if possible ripped up, shredded and blown out of existence. God that ridiculous, focus-grouped, Upper East Side trendy b.s. name bothers me lol. They should've gone all the way and named it Ashley Madison Caleb Winston Jayden. {edit: no off...

SecretSquirrel, that has to be a Magnolia inside a Best Buy... No way the regular BB in your neighborhood has that stuff under a regular ol' Best Buy stocking plan. Either that or you live in Connecticut or somewhere where the median income is 7 figures. :o

Re: Nostalgia Lane - Old Time TR Posters

TR has been my homepage since before the forums even existed. It is usually the first web-page that comes up on any PC I build and most VMs, too. I've whined about the new format, the new, new format and color choices. Man, I do love this place; even if I'm not posting every year (day) like some do.

I am neck-deep in VMware, and I think it is really useful software; so much so I interviewed to be a pre-sales SE with them. Didn't get the job, but I am still a big fan. (fair warning...) Anyway, I think that there is no course work that will make you an admin. The course work required is a desire ...

True enough, it is not a done deal yet.

From the inside, I think that the things it takes to be astoundingly successful in the enterprise are coming together. From what I can see, Dell's portfolio is developing well; the people are setting the right goals and doing the right thing.

Dell is private

Well, looks like we're a private company now. Full confirmation will take two to three days, but I'm relatively certain that the meeting would not have proceeded without a certain confidence about the vote.

Yay!

I had a great time at the BBQ again this year. My son had a great time playing with the other kids and swimming in Lake Michigan. We got to build some sand castles on the beach, blow huge bubbles, eat some wonderful ribs, hot-dogs, smores, and just generally enjoy a whole day of fun. Meeting Ellie i...
