Re: 4K HDR madness

I’m kinda meh about HDR. I have a couple of 65” LG SJ8500s. I get my HDR content via 4K Apple TVs using Dolby Vision. There is more detail with the 4K content but I only really see it when I pixel peep (my primary content is served via my Plex server hosting backups of my Blu-ray collection (so 108...

Re: Average fuel consumption

I think this is just the average for the current trip. This was during my 10 km drive home through the city after work. I drive a manual and I’m always in a gear that keeps me in the power to squirt through traffic (I don’t dawdle). My tank is currently full and my range is shown as 240 km. I drove ...

Average fuel consumption

I don't usually pay attention to my fuel consumption but I was going through my dash menu and this caught my eye:

Civic: I'm not sure I can get over the lack of blind spot monitoring and volume knob. Blind spots on a Civic should not be too much of a problem. I'm looking at buying a 2SS 1LE - now that thing needs a blind spot monitor. Photos of the 2018 Civic interior appear to show there is a volume control o...

Re: Why I'm Suspect of RAM Prices

To be fair here, when you're dealing with a high-volume commodity even a small fluctuation in supply can cause massive price swings. Look at the price of things like gasoline and eggs in the US, for example. (Well in the lower 48, anyway... maybe up in Alaska they're just always expensive.) A bit o...
