Re: Touchpad woes

My advice would be to find a touchpad that's marketed as a "Windows Precision Touchpad" That is definitely the first step. While not as good as Apple's Magic Trackpad 2, I find the Precision touchpad on my T480 to be acceptable when tapping (not clicking). I've configured the touchpad on ...

Re: Touchpad woes

The force touch Macbooks just side step this issue by not having tap to click enabled in their default state. It's kind of an important feature now that the touch pad on newer MBPs is approximately the size of Rhode Island, so avoiding touching it while typing is about impossible. I have tap to cli...

Those apps won't be available to consumers under 2019 or later. :(

I'll have to live with Mojave for now. Downloading as I type this.

What is the point of this entire thread?

That Windows 10 on ARM is a joke without native apps.

Microsoft has managed to turn Windows from the OS that had all the apps to the OS that has no apps. Amazeballs.

Re: How Apple Dethroned Intel As the World's Most Innovative Chipmaker

I was more-or-less with you right up until here. The Newton was a disaster. Apple dumped $100M into the project, which in the early 1990s was an enormous investment for the company. The Palm Pilot made it obsolete and Steve Jobs mercifully put it out of its misery. Yes, the Newton was a failure. No...

developers who need to use VMware or VirtualBox to run other x86 OSes in VMs on top of OS X likely represent a rather larger % of sales. Re: VLC becomes one of first ( (non UWP?) ARM64 Windows apps

Good to see. For Windows 10 on ARM to be useful more devs have to do this. VLC has been cross-platform since time immemorial, and it's explicit purpose is to run anywhere and play anything. That's not really most devs. I'm not sure what the significance of this is. Exactly. Unless the majority of W...

I had some really horrible ear wax problems ~20 years ago. Not unlike liquidsquid's wife's condition, it started to severely affect my hearing; I probably couldn't hear much above 4 kHz (maybe even lower). After repeated uses (over a period of a couple of weeks) of one of the over-the-counter earwa...
