Well, with mine I don't have to worry about charging, period. Nor does it need to be tethered to another device that also needs periodic recharging.

I take it you don’t have an electric car.

Re: RTX 2080 / Ti similar to iPhone X launch?

AMD's strategy was to wait until 7nm and release Navi on it. But at the same time, AMD seems like they're targeting the mid-range: 580 price range or so. I don't see any evidence that AMD is actually trying to build a new halo-product or super-halo product like the 2080 Ti. Whatever AMD is up to I ...

Coming from a GTX 1080 the 2080 Ti looks good to me (price factored in). Stop griping about the price you cheap bastards.

Quick check and my 1950X is idling at 35° C using a H115i.

Gaming-Doom16 temp, H115i: max 44° C in quiet mode. 42° C in performance mode.

As a GTX 1080 owner I'd say the 1080 is a decent 2560x1440 card.

Witcher 3 benchmarks appear to back that up:

Absolutely gutted that Kimi did not win. DRS has made passing too easy. It was supposed to equalize two cars; now the trailing car always has the clear advantage. Did you even watch the race? DRS had nothing to do with it. Ferrari had a faster car even when DRS was factored in. It was Mercedes stra...

Re: Formula One 2018

I loved it when Vettel thought he had won pole - and then he was denied by Kimi. Sour grapes on behalf of Vettel - the man has no grace under pressure. This was made all the more enjoyable because he lost the pole by the very method he tried to win it - he was getting a tow from Lewis. Kimi got a to...

No matter how good your chair is, you should be getting up and walking around periodically (or using the "stand" feature of your desk, if you have it). Sitting in the same spot for hours on end is really bad for you.

Re: Need a new office chair.

The nice thing about mesh is that it breathes. Long gaming sessions during the summer (even with air conditioning) are brutal in a chair that does not breathe. I go a step further and have a fan direct air towards the back of my chair - like a cooled seat in a car.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider's performance on the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti with ray tracing enabled looks to be rather poor - 30fps @ 1920x1080.
