Hey, this is excellent-- I just upgraded Slackware 8 to have XFree86 4.2.0, and I couldn't get the mouse to work for the life of me, when it /had/ been working fine in 4.1.0 with the protocol as "IMPS/2" and the ZAxisMapping as "6 7". I guess the protocol and remapping made the difference. Just a he...

Seems like Intel and Amazon were moving to Linux, right? Maybe some of the millions of dollars they saved involved desktop deployments.
